Hi im new and not sure if this is the right place to post this but I just bought a #b450 #mobo and #ryzen #3400g. #MOBO bios seems to need updating and contacting the manufacturer process seems pretty long. if anyone in the west rand area / #florida can help me with a donor cpu ie ryzen 1000 / 2000 series I would really appreciate your help.

Hi bud. I had a similar issue with a ASUS ROG Strix AMD board, and found that you could update the bios without CPU or memory. You only need a working power supply, monitor and keyboard, with a Fat32 formatted USB stick with the bios on it.
YouTube link here for you: USB BIOS Flashback - Republic of Gamers Motherboards

Let me know if you need further help.

If you don't succeed and you're in or close to Pta I can help you.

EDIT: Sorry missread that you're in the west rand area.

thank you for the offer much appreciated

I just watched a video of a regular Youtuber who built an X570 AM4 build and chose the cheapest X570 board he could.

He can’t get anywhere near the AMD RAM speeds that the CPU is designed to work with because the board is so badly made.

He should have chosen an beefy B450 board instead.
