Whats up guys,

Recently got a wheel and purchased Assetto Corsa Ultimate edition on steam and i must say its probably the best racing game i have played. The physics, ffb and overall feel is much better than Project Cars 2 and any other racing game i have played.

Anyway, i see all the SA servers are basically empty and has passwords. Anyone know of local guys still racing and any tips for the multiplayer as public international servers are a mess?

i know this game is very old but i really enjoy it so far :D

Thanks.

I have Assetto Corsa + Dream Packs in my steam library, but have never actually installed it

I compete in a series and absoultely love the game.

It's old but a great simulator. visit simracesa.co.za for local series/championship. which starts in July

If you are new and want to up your practince. Look at simracesystems. it's an addon is adds like a matchmaking vibe to it. there are races every hour and you get matched up to people your own pace/skill.

If you have any questions I would happily answer them.

We also have a discord going

I also want to do more simracing, Jason from Simracesa says that the current season is over but the newer one starts in July like @wes1987 stated. Apparently we can start in the open class which is for amateurs and beginners to their leagues but I like the open class mainly because i'm not a GT3 fan and like touring cars as well as touring car classic classes. There is a fee but it's not too high, I'm also involved in a few of the UK based fun leagues for racing in Project Cars 2

It's the Simracesa discord channel.

We are starting with open racing (the legaue with the slower cars, Toyota 86, Mazda MX5) for the new guys starting out. It's a usual wednesday/Monday night thing.

Register and Join some of the racing, It's really fun. I will be racing as well.

Great news

The times will come down with practice, If you around you can always jump on a server with me and I can help you out with lines and breaking points.

I missed buying the game on steam yesterday :( I regret it, I was looking at assetto corsa and ended up purchasing GTAV lol!

I think my cornering are good but I brake sometimes to hard or to early and shift down to quickly and that result in time. Would be great to have a session over the weekend. what's your name on discord?

Wesley Farrant on the SimRaceSA Discord.

The Toyota 86 Race I could manage a 2.05.2.

Cool, will pop you a message. Damn 2.05 is fast. I did some hot lapping last night after carefully studying my mistakes and managed to pull of 2.09 from 2.13 with the 86 on zandvoort, but I still need lots of practicing.

I would be keen for this, can even host the server
