I bought it, downloaded it, and can't wait to give it a try.

I enjoy this guy's videos, and it gives you a good idea for ACC:

Yeah been eyeballing it. Looks great. I think it’s gonna be a good game. Tjeep tjeep atm as well. Gonna have to pick it up soon. Please share your thoughts.

Very nice sim. I really enjoyed the feel of it, now to wait for some more tracks

Still has a lot of work to be done on it but I think it's a good start from them. The graphics look amazing. See a lot of the tubers complaining the feedback is dull and the worst part of the game. I feel it's a bit more of a realistic feel as you don't really feel the bumps in the road. The curbs and wheel slide is there but. Need to use the sound and visuals a bit more. Static on board cam looses a bit of the sense of speed, but you get use to it and adjust or the helmet cam seems to fix it a little for me any way. But all and all I think this is going to be an interesting one from Kunos

No VR Support yet. Doh.

How does the early access work? From what I could tell, it looks like you have to purchase upgrades if you buy the early access version. Almost like GT5 Prologue: buy now, buy again later.

That stuff will come. Look at how AC flourished. Pretty sure this will be the same. Sure, you’ll prob save some loot waiting a bit. But at this price I don’t care too much. Steam reviews are very decent as well.

Well, one it's released around ~February 2019, early access players will get the full version, including the 2019 season updates.

You only pay once

Assetta Corsa is not a new game at all.
This is solely the GT3 racing series from them

@Flex but ACC has been built on a new engine and physics is also basically from scratch so it's a good start for them on the gt3 series that is ACC. Surely the experience from AC has contributed a lot to this release. Sorry if my wording was a bit lacking. :sneaky:

Ahh, I did not know they had a new engine and physics on this game. Thought it was just an expansion or extension from the normal AC

You are wrong, as in completely
not entirely no :)
It is just GT3. as I said above though I did not realize it was a totally different engine driving the game.

+ AC is not a new game. So not wrong there either. Misunderstood his statement. That is all

I saw this vid: @ 0.41

It looks like the price increases, but couldn't make it if you have to purchase at those points. Or is the price merely increasing the further along the development is?

The FFB is being redone, they have acknowledged that it is working incorrectly.

Ahhh ok, nevermind. Found this: Assetto Corsa Competizione Roadmap - Price Update

In something of a very welcome move by Kunos Simulazioni, those who make the decision to adopt early into the programme will be rewarded with a heavily discounted price, a nice reward for the first players in the door, and a very sound move by Kunos to reward the loyal fanbase of the title. With monthly updates, features and new content planned right the way through to early 2019 prior to a full launch, the game will steadily rise in price up to the final retail cost in Q1 2019.
