Hi All,

I work for Asbis Africa. We are a local distributor for Consumer goods with 15 years' experience and backing in the industry.

We have recently acquired the distribution rights for a new OEM manufacturer called Arktek. They are a Chinese company who has been manufacturing for OEM's in the past. They've pivoted their business model and now produce their own range of branded products.

We have ordered 30x of these cards and I expect them to land around the 25th of November.

Item: ARKTEK GeForce RTX 3080 10GB HYPERION
Age: New
Warranty: 3 Years local warranty
Packaging: Yes
Condition: New
Location: Sandton
Reason: Reseller
Shipping: Can be arranged
Collection: Yes
Link: Arktek - A Step Ahead Product

Edit -

All cards taken and delivered! Thank you all for the support!

Would be nice to know what vrms and if it has dual bios.maybe some pcb shots if possible since its a new brand those kinds of info would be great before we bite the bullet and order.also is it the default reference design.how many year warranty?can we use water blocks will it affect warranty?

Not sure on the VRM's and as far as I can tell, no dual bios.
I'll be sure to add some more pictures of the cards once I receive stock and yes it is the reference 3 fan design that pretty much everyone else is using. Decent Poscap setup not that I'm sure it makes a difference.

In terms of the 3 year warranty, we will test warranty claim cards and then honor a local swop for a replacement card. In terms of the official answer, it will always be that the manufacturer will void the warranty if there are any signs of tamper.

On second thought, I'll drop you a pm.

Hi All,

Thank you for the overwhelming support so far! I have provisionally allocated all 30x of the Arktec 3080's. If we've spoken via PM or Whatsapp, you are on the list. I am also keeping a few cards aside as review samples which might come up as second hand cards once they are returned so keep an eye out.

I'm trying to secure a batch of 3070's from Arktec as well as confirm whether they will be manufacturing the new AMD Big Navi's which I'll update on a separate thread in due course!

Interested in the 3070 for my son, any idea what the price will be?
Not a clue yet I'm afraid. They are a little behind the rest of the OEM's in terms of making their cards available.

Picked up my card yesterday - everything is running perfectly,
Idle temps of 30 degrees and hovering around 70 after 3 mins of furmark gpu stress test.
Bear in mind my case is old and has terrible airflow (have removed the side panel to help with cooling)

Really a solid, well priced card.

I'm sure the reviews will confirm.

@Biofreak thank you for the amazing service bro.

So that all the info is in one thread -

@Cavie to the rescue! Review is up ;)

And as expected, a well rounded performer with an 87 NAG score!

You can chat to @PC Rescue or @SILTECH786 for orders as they still have a few in stock!

Hey Biofreak,

Just curious, did you ever manage to secure their 3070 model? Or perhaps find out if they are producing them?

Many thanks!

Heya! We did try yes.

For the time being, they are only producing 3080's and 3090's with no intention in the short term to expand into the Radeon range... I have a feeling it has to do with the global shortages. No point in setting up a manufacturing plant if they can't get the volume to produce the cards.

From an Asbis point of view, we are in chats with a few manufacturers to see if we can't bring in their cards to SA. XFX, Galax, EVGA, etc. Watch this space ;)

Still have any stock left over?

Hi Biofreak are you going to be getting 3090's?

Thanks very much for the reply Biofreak, much obliged. Will definitely be watching any update you post about other cards you're bringing in. Still rather tempted by that Arktek though...

Thanks again for the response :)
