do you have your server set to any specific region? i found the lag was almost unbearable yesterday.

Like getting a kill was a slideshow kinda thing.

That's not ping related. The servers can be really bad at the start of matches, where it feels like you're walking through molasses and every second shot is a no-reg. Everyone on the server is experiencing it though, so it makes aiming really easy .

Set your servers to the three Belgium servers on startup. Start the game. Don’t press continue on the main screen. Let the game idle for 90 seconds then press escape and then cancel and the data center option will appear. Ctrl + click to select multiple servers. It will go back to the main screen after each selection. It highlights what you previously selected.

They are most likely using the same datacenters as Titanfall 2, but the funny thing is i get better ping on the Titanfall 2 datacenters online than in Apex...

Best thing I have done for my apex skills was play tf2 again. Lost 5 hours to the campaign and suddenly doubled my kills on apex

Yup the Belgium servers are so much better. Remember to set them everytime you start the game.

Loaded in last night and we dropped skull town really quick - like, impossibly quick, but in a way that made it feel like lag.
Saw right away that my teammate was speeding around, and noticed his name was "aimbottest995" or something like that. I sniped myself a longbow kill so I could get my BP legend bonus for the day, but noped out after that.

From the MANY games I played I've encountered 3 matches with cheaters that killed me. All were aim bots. At least you can report players now, they also take care of cheaters quite quickly imo.
There will always be cheaters in any game, I've accepted this a long time ago and refuse to let it ruin my game.

Played a game over the weekend with a definite aimbotter. He was on my team so when both myself and the other teammate went down and he didn't revive at all even though we were right next to him we got to watch him win the game snapping to people through walls etc. Reported all the options.

For the first couple of weeks not a lot, there were some odd moments here and there and a confirmed (via spectating) aimbotter on rare occasion. But yesterday specifically was odd, we had Wingman hackers 3 games in a row, literally 3 games in a row. You would continuously see Playername "Wingman Icon" Downed enemy and it would be the same name just destroying the server. As fate would have it as my squad generally does very good with a high win%, we would run into them ourselves eventually. This one time 2 of my buddies got downed with double tap Wingman shots from close to "bunker" while we were all the way over at "run off", first shot full armor off, second shot down on both my team mates.

All of a sudden I get hit 1 shot all armor down (purple armor) 2nd shot dead WHILE running / sliding, remember this is from FAAAAAAAAAAAR, a single guy killed 3 of us at great distance while moving with 6 very quick consecutive Wingman bullets. We spectated him and he won the game playing solo with Wingman just destroying targets that we could not even see on the screen they were that far. Another game I was playing Octane and myself and my buddy were both killed by 1 guy also using Wingman. The best part of it all was my buddy was running between buildings and I was plucked mid air using an Octane jump pad. The thing is this was not Wingman spam, this was 2 shots on my friend, 2 shots on me mid air. Spectator cam afterwards showed the guy's aim just all over the place aiming and firing at things not even in view / behind cover etc.

We also had instances where we would get killed by guys using the R99 from impossible distances killing / downing us with 1 clip, then you would check his banner on spectator cam and he will have a low level account level 4-5 and odd names like 09187230981723809 but run around and just 100% know where players are etc.

It's immensely frustrating, specially if you take things a bit more seriously like our group. But best you can do is report them and just redeploy and try and brush it off.

Yea lately there has been more and more cheaters, had 2 games where i came 2nd twice to the same hacker, the dude shot us each in the head twice super quick, basically ran up their squad and the 3 of us insta died.

Then had a game where i randomly got killed and couldnt figure out where i was getting shot from, go watch the dude and he is standing on top of a balloon spinning in circles holding down shoot with a spitfire and just killing everyone ....

I encountered my first cheater early last week like this - person appeared out of nowhere and dusted entire team with Wingman headshots; then zoomed off like he was on rollerblades. I expected more.. like game modes, challenges,, something?? Don't get me wrong I think Octane is such a fun hero and by far the best addition to the season, but thats not enough to play around with.

The rest of the items and unlockables are sub-par, and the rewards just doesn't feel worth the grind

Out of 100's of games I have played now, I have only encountered 2 legit cheaters. Could have been more, but these I know for sure (downs the entire team in a few seconds with headshots) and I only encountered both these cheaters over the past weekend. That is a good stat imo for a free game

I feel you on this, I however do feel like this a good starting point. I would've loved challenges, but alas this one still gets me hooked even by just getting XP

Same, I find myself launching up Apex without even thinking about it, next moment I am in a game lol

Apex is trending atm, so I guess it's a good game for exposure? Unless you want to branch into a different audience

But hopefully they will learn from the season feedback like @SarelSlipstream mentioned, and beef up the next content drop

The game has only been out for 2 months after all

I think I had a cheater in my squad over the weekend.

He was playing Pathfinder and his Origin name was 6 digits. Something like 80560. He ended the game with 17 kills and 3.5k damage done with a low level account.

I didn't have a chance to spectate him as I never died, but whenever he got into fights he would almost instantly down people. It was also very suspicious that he waited for the last squad (seemed to know where they were) as the ring was closing while we were off looting in Market.

If I noticed earlier I would have purposefully got myself killed so I could spectate and report him if he was cheating. As it stands, he could have just been incredibly skilled and/or lucky.

There is about 1% chance of having a cheater in your game, like most people mentioned they are there but it's still rare that you find them and those who get banned also get a hardware ban, and although there are workarounds to it, not all cheaters will know how to use it.

I still don't think I've run into a hacker, I can only think about two times, once because of the guy's name and the other because they killed us so fast, the guy could've just been trolling with his name and the other guy could've just hit his shots, he shot twice with the Mastiff and two of us went down.
