RagTag (he has a weird in game name) - OMG now he was such a fun guy to play with! When I saw his name i was like….”Ragtag?” Is that you? He said, “there could only be one GUTTER-TIER” I was like, OMFG RAGTAG! Such a huge fan! We ended up playing like 10 games and he said I have good vibes that’s why he keeps playing with me[emoji2956][emoji2956][emoji2956] he even told me he going to feature me in his video so waiting for his latest vid[emoji1694][emoji1694][emoji1694]

Seems like Apex is now working on Linux. Going to test it in a few minutes. The Steam Deck is changing Linux gaming very quickly.

It works but it stutters because it has to build up the shader cache, I recommend going into the firing range and swapping to all the legends and using all the guns and if you can stand it if you die spectate the game out fully, couple of games later and you're good to go.

I played for about 5 minutes and it started to improve the longer I played. Not too bad considering support for the game just launched.

I'll try what you suggested when I have a bit more time.

I'm fully convinced in about 6 months time the Linux version is going to be the best version of the game.

Ah took them long enough... haha, not really into the genre that much but ey I'm happy for the Linux gaming community... You can usually set your shaders to process in the background too while steam is open.

I'm fully convinced in about 6 months time the Linux version is going to be the best version of the game.

We will probably play the windows version via proton, no use in getting the devs to specifically make a native build. ARK has a native build and it sucks, we run the windows version with proton.

Apex already worked on Linux this entire time via Proton all that happened now is they updated the anti cheat to work which is the major reason a lot of games don't "work".

The one thing I'm already seeing people say is that on lower end hardware Apex on Linux already runs much better than Windows which is to be expected really.

I tried playing many times when all this EAC support stuff started months back, but EAC was always an issue, glad to see that support was enabled, I will play again a bit. Downloading now.

Yeah many titles run better on Linux, must be the fact that we don't have so much crap running in the background.

Maybe now with the Steam Deck more devs will feel inclined to update their anti cheat to work on Linux and we'll get a ton more working games.
