It has like a "cartridge". I am going to pop it open on the weekend and see whats inside. All my APC units have 3rd party batteries in them with APC stickers on them. If the unit has 18ah batteires in them then Com-X is the cheapest otherwise Communica or Mantech.


Edit it takes 4x18ah Batteries.

Without knowing all the spec, you could also try:

Those look fine. I would just make sure about the dimensions of the cells, but they look good and are rated for UPS and inverters.

APC use CSB branded batteries as their OEM. You can buy CSB batteries and replace the originals, just need to find a supplier.

I've used these guys about 5-7 years ago (if you open the UPS and remove the APC sticker, you should find the CSB model number): C S B GP1272 F1 Solar Batteries

Please make sure you have the APC #27 cartridge and also double check whats in your unit... @Phence I too have found CSB batteries under the stickers but not always..

Ooops mine is not the same model. Looks like you need 8 of the 7ah batteries. They under R200 each at Communica so even cheaper..
