Looking to 'upgrade' my current handset and have sortof narrowed it down to this one. Biggest possible concern I have is what people mentioned on the screen and its 'ghosting' effects in basic usage such as browsing/scrolling in Chrome (I dont use my phone for games and cannot be bothered with ghosting there).

Anyone with a Poco X3 Pro that can share their experience on the screen?

I'm also considering biting the bullet and going AMOLED, but that obviously pushes the price up. So if I can get this rather and be satisfied, that would be first prize.

Fire away (y)

Staying AMOLED would be my priority #1 when it comes to my next device. Then staying on a Qualcomm powered device would be my second priority.

Regarding the ghosting, that might be because of the high refresh rate and IPS display? Or just a side effect of the cost cutting implemented by Xiaomi with creating the Poco line of phones?

That being said, not sure what the budget is, but pretty sure you won't get something in the SA market (mainly because the SA phone market is horrible) with similar specs at that price.

Thanks. Appreciate the response. And yes, nailed it, its apparently the high refresh coupled with an IPS display that causes the ghosting. Yet, so many reviewers rate the phone as great (its GSMArena's pick in one or two categories).

But yeah, might as well follow my gut and just chip in the extra quid for an AMOLED if I want to keep this phone for another 3 years as well. I'm really not a phone guy. I'd use my 3310 if I could find it... but the wife upgraded to the S21 Ultra recently through her company and omg...that shit blew me away.

So I have the NFC version..had it over a year now...no issues personally from my side. It's great phone for its price

So no weird/shitty experiences with browsing or 'ordinary/ mouth breather' usage? :)
I know its an upgrade from my current phone in every way. Just dont want to fork out cash and sit with something I wont be happy with...or rather, dont want to be unhappy with.

The only thing that I'm unhappy with is minor built in ads. Only see it when you use their storage cleaner and another random app

Go Poco F3! Get that Amoled and it's nice and thin :p

Edit: @heinreich You wouldn't be disappointed by the X3 either, not by a long shot. It's a fantastic device.
