Anyone from Amanzimtoti? I need help please

So my dog decided it was a good idea to eat my tv remote and now I need a new one. The above mentioned Makro stores have stock but I stay in Bloem. Is there someone that is willing to pick up the remote from one of these stores and ship it please? I'm in desperate need.



Update on the situation should it happen to anyone else:
LG SA isn't much help, they directed me to an official LG repair centre that does not exist. I tried a last effort before Makro Amanzimtoti and called Kloppers Bloemfontein. The had 2 different official universal LG Magic remotes, depending on when your tv was manufactured (before or after 2017). Although my old remote was a AN-MR600, the new one is AN-R650A. So I got back home happy as can be, only to find out it only works partially. The mouse wheel, ok button (click wheel), netlix and amazon buttons do not work, thus I cannot use any of my apps, which makes it useless.

I called Kloppers and they sent out a technician to see what's what. The technician arrived and informed me there is a batch of tv's that the universal remote does not work correctly. Luckily they had a secondhand remote with them that was the same model no. as my old one. I asked them if they had new remotes and they said not currently, but if they do get in, then it will be around R1800 for that specific model. He said I can buy the secondhand one for much cheaper as they do get those in when customers bring in their broken TV's for insurance claims. SO I had not other choice but to buy it.

So here is a warning: LOOK AFTER THAT REMOTE LIKE IT'S GOLD! They cost about the same IF you can get one.

Can't be ordered online for some reason. It says out of stock, but also shows some shops still have it. And they also don't want to ship it to their Bloem store. So this is currently my only option

I called makro AGAIN. They say only Amanzimtoti has. I can add it to my cart and checkout but can't choose a delivery option. Basically makro doesn't want my money it seems. It's bloody infuriating!

Have you tried downloading some remote apps that may work. When I had an issue with my Samsung TV I use the app called SURE from the app store.

Just a thought but Have you tried contacting LG?

Maybe they could point you to a place to buy, or give you a free remote for the "inconvenience"...

I finally got a hold of them and they gave me a number to call. Will do that tomorrow morning and see what I can do.

Don't get a new dog especially at makro. Those ones usually require additional purchase of AA batteries - what a scam
