Yo guys and gals

I need some help with my electric guitar setup. I'm running a Jackson Performa with a Fender champ 40W but for some reason i get this weird buzz feedback from the guitar specifically. No other guitar does that on any of my amps and this guitar does it on two of them. I checked to see if there was a possible ground loop and re did all the electronics with fresh pots but the issue continues. I was thinking it may be the pickups but then surely it wouldn't have just suddenly happened and why only on two of my amps not other amps?

Any ideas or possible troubleshooting?

Im a guitarist, also @Bencrisp

Do you get the buzz on clean as well? Sounds like grounding issue, I had a Jackson King V that did that, was due to bad grounding, I sold it before I fixed it though.
Best way to test if it is grounding is to see if it goes away when you touch one of the pots or the bridge that you know is grounded.

Do you get the buzz on both pickups? they might have gotten microphonic, but would be rare that both have gotten microphonic at the same time.

Jackson King V

I had a burgundy one once. RIP Sharp edges

Check to see if the buzz changes when you touch the pickups, or the strings. It DOES sound like a ground loop. a Mate of mine has this trick, especially when recording, he takes a piece of wire and wraps it around the guitar cable plug, then plugs it in and then tucks the other end of small wire into his side against his body. Zero buzz even at high gain haha

Yeah buzz on all pickups but does dissapear when i touch any metallic part of the guitar, that's why I re soldered the components piece by piece according to a youtube guide to see if there was a ground issue. It reduced the buzz but it came back a few days later.

HSS

I doubt the pickups have gone micro-phonic as it doesn't really get affected much by tapping the guitar (did this to see if maybe the trem was the problem)

That's beautiful and genius XD

I would prefer not having a wire inside me though

Then it is def a grounding issue, that the one benefit of active pickups, you dont need to ground them. are you sure your bridge wire is still touching the bridge? They can get wonky and cause these issues.

Yup, like I said, I redid the wiring completely. No idea as to what is causing this. Have tried different amps and different cords but no change

I seriously read this title as "Air Guitar Players Out there?" ... I was really disappointed with the contents of this thread when I opened it :p

Agreed. I just want to post here that I'm currently practicing guitar.
