Duties and Responsibilities

• Front-end, regulatory compliance testing.

• Document software defects, and report defects to software developers.

• Identify, analyse, and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content.

• Document test procedures to ensure replicability and compliance with standards.

• Provide feedback and recommendations to developers on software usability and functionality.

• Monitor program performance to ensure efficient and problem-free operations.

• Identify program deviance from standards, and suggest modifications to ensure compliance

Going to guess it’s Microgaming related so Derivco,Derivco Locations

That spec has been rewritten so badly. I’d say look at ISTQB for testing terminology and learn the definitions.

Also this is the recruiter not the company so don’t worry that much, look good and sound smart.

Hi @Syber0106

Not sure what your background is qualification wise etc, but the biggest point of contention with out Testers is always test cases. You need to be able to, when given a piece or section of software to test, write concise test cases to cover the entire section of software in both a positive and negative fashion, and then execute on all those test case, providing concise feedback:

More on positive vs negative testing here: What is Negative Testing and How to Write Negative Test Cases?

Do yourself a favour and make sure you can dissect a section you need to test, breaking it down bit piece in order to test fully and completely. They will need to know what you tested, how you tested it and what the results were. The trick is not just testing what they asked you to, but pointing out possible pitfalls (negative testing) as well.

Thank you will definitely 🙏 read up now

I don't have any experience in the testing field just basic knowledge of what they do I'm reading up all i can so i can be fully prepared

Hi everyone , well it ended badly , they didn't want to hire me due to "my lack of experience in the field"
I even volunteered to work for free just for experience ... I don't understand how can companies demand experience if they don't hire you ...... I don't understand why i studied just wasted 3 years of my life

Sorry to hear man, good luck with the next one

Not even sure what to apply for to gain this experience they ask man ..... Especially during lockdown it's tough , atleast I'm grateful to know my diploma stands with there company just experience wise .

Hey man, just read through this, i'm in almost an exact same situation as you. I have a degree in accounting, a diploma in finance and a title from the charted institute of management accountants. Companies really don't care about certifications tbh, they all want experience. My suggestion would be to just keep researching based on your diploma, find out what other people did with your certification, a good place to research that would be on linkedin, also connect with people of a similar educational background and ask for advise. I hope everything works out for you, the corona situation is really bad for everyone, just keep your head up and keep fighting. Goodluck :)

Don’t knock yourself bud, lack of experience is a generic term.
Also no one earns commission on a free worker.

I did pass the first interview with the agency but when i went directly to the company they declined me and when i did further enquire about it
They gave me that answer even after offering to work for free ... And after that I haven't heard anything from any company i tried to apply (even internships)
