Go and have a look ar Amazon in the US from where you csn buy the cpu and it is still not available. I think AMD knowing what's to come is playing it safe to wait till actual release date.

Facts as you say , the real reason I would assume is they scared of running into shortages seeing as AMDS strongest advantage being the strength of the CPU and price this time round

Why put your whole business at risk by putting out a review one day before release date. Crazy !

Benchmarks are such bullshit half the time . Do realistic ones, not 720p. Trying to find differences where barely none exist.
Oh some say it shows " raw " performance at 720p. More nonsense.
As usual most of these CPU's with a decent GPU will run much the same at 1440p and at 4K will be practically identical.

More interesting will be non gaming performance. That's where Ryzen will shine. The gaming side of things is all hype as usual.

Thank you, unfortunately people will
always argue that 720p shows cpu and not gpu performance. Interestingly what I found with reviews back with the Ryzen 7 2700x was that the performance drop from 1080p to 1440p to 4K was far less with AMD than Intel and it will show even more with these new cpus.

Have you noticed this reviewer uses 2666Mhz Ram for the i9 9900K but 3200Mhz for the AMD 3000 CPU's. It's little things like that , that go unnoticed.
Still what do you expect from a reviewer breaking the embargo. In such a hurry he didn't have time to install the 3200mhz Ram in the Intel system :)

Yeah, thats why I will wait for Steve & Other Steve's reviews. I appreciate their in-depth look into the new tech.

In all honesty while using Intel for a couple years the performance difference I notice between 2400, 2666 and 3000 mem speed was at most 1 to 2% but with AMD it makes a far bigger difference.

Taken how this leak csme about, I doubt it was the person thst did the review thst leaked it.

Also feels a bit biased as the details that makes up a real world scenario is missing

Yes that's true . It still has an effect on benchmarks though . 3200Mhz CL14 will certainly show better benchmarks that 2666Mhz CL16 , especially synthetic ones.

Because he can break it his a reviewer keyword ;)

Evetech took the prices and converted them from USA to Rand pricing. This is not accurate since American pricing is always cheaper and our import duties screw us. Best one on the list is the 3700, hands down.

As quoted:

All pricing has been converted from USD into ZA and the pricing is all speculation and not fact and model names of the 3rd Gen Processors by AMD:

Ryzen 9 3850X - R6964,79
Ryzen 9 3800X - R6266,92
Ryzen 7 3700X - R4592,02
Ryzen 7 3700 - R4173,29
Ryzen 5 3600X - R3196,27
Ryzen 5 3600G - R2777,54
Ryzen 5 3600 - R2484,43
Ryzen 3 3300X - R1800,52
Ryzen 3 3300G - R1800
Ryzen 3 3300 - R1381,79

Hi @JollyJamma what found to be the best way to see pricing is to take the USD value and multiply by between 19 and 22 to see what we'll pay for it in SA.

"This is not accurate"...No Shit! It's fiction from March leaks. C'mon, I understand it's a quote, but seriously, the correct model/Us price info has been available for weeks now.

That's about right when you consider the 2950X is going for $730 at Amazon and +_R15 000 in ZA:

Soooo... with the ZA Naai-Jou-Maaitjie rate @ x22...:
Ryzen 9 3950X ($749) --> 1USD to 14.18ZAR(R 10618.95)--> SA Special X22(R16 478‬)
Ryzen 9 3900X ($499) --> 1USD to 14.18ZAR(R 7074.57)--> SA Special X22(R10 978‬)
Ryzen 7 3800X ($399) --> 1USD to 14.18ZAR(R 5656.82)--> SA Special X22(R 8 778‬)
Ryzen 7 3700X ($329) --> 1USD to 14.18ZAR(R 4664.40)--> SA Special X22(R 7 238‬)
Ryzen 5 3600X ($249) --> 1USD to 14.18ZAR(R 3530.20)--> SA Special X22(R 5 478‬)
Ryzen 5 3600 ($199) --> 1USD to 14.18ZAR(R 2821.32)--> SA Special X22(R 4 378‬)

Just for clarity, are those quoted USD prices incl. VAT?
