Hello people of Carbonite,
I was finally able to purchase another GPU, before I smash this thing against the ground, I thought I'd put it up on here and see if anyone needs it.
But read this lovely paragraph I put together:
SO, this card works like 80% of the time, but it's a very weird situation and I've never been able to conclude why it's doing it. Sometimes during a game, or just in idle, the card will die. However, my PC is still up and running as sound still comes through but the actual GPU it's self basically shuts off (Fans still spin - No display on screen). I've replaced the thermal paste multiple times and I've cleaned the PCI connector multiple times with ISO. I've tested this on different motherboards, platforms, psu's etc. Tried underclock, undervolting, overclock, overvolting. Doesn't matter what I do, it still happens. So it's definitely a GPU related problem. I've unfortunately been stuck with this thing as there's never been a financial moment where I could've upgraded my GPU. Something else would always die and so I've basically got a brand new PC now besides my PSU.
My thoughts is if you require a GPU just for the mean time, or require a GPU for testing purposes. This could be the one for you.
