Amd 3900x vs Intel 9900k

Awesome find, still don't understand the 1080 comparison :D

"Hey gamers if you buy da hefty PC and spend 17k on CPU/Memory/Mobo and over 20k on GPU make sure to run it on 1080 rez yo"

Because GPU bottlenecking isn't a fair representation of a CPU's capabilities or limitations. There's just about no game, maybe RTSs, but certainly not shooters where increasing res also increases CPU load.

The only reason why the results come closer together at 1440P is because the 2080Ti runs out of legs before the Intel chip does.

You keep it at 1080P to make sure the GPU is having a lecker snooze (but not too much, 720P results would be stoooopid high) and if there are any performance limitations they're coming from the CPU.

That's also why no 4K testing is done because both chips would produce ass FPS which would tell you exactly nothing about the chips.

Well I'm out. AMD South Africa is right up there with the ANC (Completely useless).
Sticking to my current setup.

Still a crap load for a 8C/16T CPU
Still a crap load for a 8C/16T CPU

Considering for a new 9700 you pay around 6-7k for it...

AMD 3900x right now is 10k
