AIO Advice

I am using a MasterLiquid ML240L (front-mounted) on my 3700X and also fitted in a P400A case.

First time using Cooler Master and very impressed.

Running Cinebench R23 test and my CPU peaks at 73 max. Which I think is pretty good considering I don't have aircon and a hot room.

Paid R1299 for it at Wootware, so did not break the bank at all.

You definitely got a bad unit. My S36+ Prisma oozes quality and I adore it. So glad I skipped the usual Corsair trash with their bloated software and leaky radiators.
I don't think your AIO should be 'oozing' anything.,..
Isn't that a risk of causing a short etc?

Also I was referring to the non rgb S36, I believe they have changed the fans etc on the prisma to be of better quality at least.

A friend of mine has the non RGB one and I know someone that just recently got the blackout edition. All of them were perfect.
So again, I suspect you just got a bad unit.

Just get a 360mm and future proof.

OK, some general thoughts. If you front-mount, it is preferable to have the tubes at the bottom (see the Gamer's Nexus video linked above), otherwise it will develop a trickling noise over time, and not all AIOs have tubes that are long enough. I have the Kraken X72 (I initially wanted a 280mm, but this one popped up on Carb for a pretty good price), and the tubes would definitely not reach from the bottom of my P600S, and most probably also not in a smaller case. Remember that the airflow considerations are completely different with water cooling, so do think again about intake and exhaust distribution once it is installed.

Looking at the Lian Li you linked, I get the impression you like RGB, so will end up using some kind of control software, and it may be worth it to make sure whatever AIO you get is compatible with whatever software you already use, because they can definitely suck up system resources once there are a few of them.

Finally, I love my AIO. It comes with risks and trade-offs, but in the SA summer it makes a real difference.

So... I did a bad thing :(

I wanted a white AIO to match my rig.

I also wanted one soon.

The Elite Capellix isn't available yet.

I bought the Galahad 240mm :( :D :( :D

This is what I'm considering as well.

You can take any Asetek-based design, replace the stock fans, and get similar performance with arguably better noise levels. :)

And that CM - two year warranty aside - is cheap as dirt to get the performance of AIOs three times its price.

ALSO. Quickly:
Lian-Li is an excellent brand. Imagine thinking Corsair makes better ANYTHING than Lian-Li lol.

I actually have to agree with this. Lian-li is a great brand for quality.

I won’t touch CoolerMaster unless the product has been vetted.

Most AiOs are the same product, just a different sticker. You can thank the US market for that.

do the 360 if your heart desires it, i have a P400a and fitted a 360 in the front easily

360 infront

and was a coolermaster ML360R very quiet and kept my 3700x below the 55 degree mark.

GPU well it was a RX570 so they generally run hot but max 77 degrees on the gpu so airflow was still perfectly fine with the 360 infront

@UrBaN did you get your Galahad and what are your thoughts on it?
Not yet bru :(

Ordered Thursday, supplier hasn't received it from their supplier yet. I'm guessing maybe by Friday I'll have it. Will update once it's in and tested.

So received and installed the Galahad 240mm AIO.

Temps during Cinebench R20 Multicore never exceed 64' with a conservative fan curve.

Also looks fantastic.

I bought from Dreamwaretech and they included a Cadbury Dream in the box and a personalized note. Very nice touch from them :)
