Hi Guys

I'm hoping someone can assist me. I purchased a Huawei B535-932 pro router for the extra signal strength. However when I log into the router and select use external antennas (which came with the router) option my LTE connection disconnects and I have no internet connection at all. When I switch back to using the internal antennas my connection returns.

Am I missing something or is there a way to fix this? Any advice would be appreciated.

Cheers

Are you talking about the little bunny ears you get with? If so, those aren't really external antennas

In 90% of the cases I've come across it's better to leave the setting on internal unless you have a dedicated antenna mounted outside.

Thanks for the quick response.

Yes that's exactly what I'm talking about. They're two screw on antennas which I was hoping to increase signal and speeds with. I just find it strange that the internet connection is disabled as soon as I switch to the ears because I would like to see if there is any noticeable difference.

Best would be to get a proper antenna, these ears really don't do anything, (again like said in my experience) I've actually had it being worse than just leaving it off.

As for the signal disappearing when you set it to external it's probably got to do with the router now turning off the internal antenna to look for signal from the outside source, and that also tells me that you have really bad signal in your area unfortunately.
