Hi all

I want to clean and do thermals on a Sapphire RX470 Nitro, my question is this, what is the best thermal paste to use as I know
some are better for gpus and where can I then buy that and some thermal pads for the card should I have to replace them

Thankx in advance

I redid the thermal paste on my GPU with the Corsair TM30 and it does its job, honestly they are all much of a muchness and spending more than R250 for a small tube is silly only to get 3-4 degrees cooler. But if you want top notch then Arctic silver is the best.

Also esquire is the only place i could find a full sheet of thermal pad. Be sure to get the correct thickness of the pad as they come in 1-5MM

I have 2MM if you need as esquire said they will not be shipping more in due to low demand, ill provide for a fee.

If you really want to cool your GPU down well, its all about case airflow and cooling. Especially ambient air temp. Chuck a split AC in your room and your GPU will be nice and cool.

Thx a mill for reply

Its not that I am fighting for every degree its just time to do it. Temps way higher than other cards, so its not about how good the thermal paste is as much as I don't want something that will short out or something stupid like that.

Do all the cards take 2mm?

Ive replaced the paste on many gpus in the past, I found the cheap coolermaster paste to be fine.

The Phanteks PH-NDC_02 Nano Diamond is awesome.

Arctic silver is conductive so it will short out if you use too much, rather avoid that, but the one I suggested isnt conductive.

As for the thickness of the pads, all cards differ but EVGA is said to use 2MM across all their cards. Best is to get a vernier caliper, peel one off and measure.
