I have 9 fans I want to power, non PWN so I want them on 5v. All the controllers and commanders out there do not have this option.
Any suggestions?

Corsair AF120 White LED.
Lian-Li-PCo11 Dynamic

Thank you in Advance.

wonder if you can take something like this:

and then just make a SATA to SATA cable wired for 5v instead of the 12v

why does it have to be the "5v"? can't you take a hub and then just put your fan header on a fixed output?

Yeah I did not think of that, i usually just add a molex and drop down to 5v like the good old days. :)

Istill need to connect way more than I think 1 header can handle. I will go look at these hub things.

The fans only use about 1w of power so a molex will have more than enough power. If you're using a fan controller or hub they are generally rated for 25w per output on average so they can technically run 25 fans hypothetically. Are you using normal 120-140mm fans with molex or 3-4 pin connectors ?

the hub I posted adds external power so I don't think it adds a lot, if any, power draw to your header so it should be fine

you will only have the single connection going from hub to header then

only issue with this is, all the fans on that hub will run at any given speed so just take that into account

Corsair AF120 - 3pin

Same speed is fine, plenty airflow with 9 of them on

If they are 3 pin then you can get a hub like the one off the chart posted or get a fan controller if you wanna regulate the speed. I am personally using a fan controller but an older molex type. I use to use it with 7 fans but I've now dropped to 4 fans. 7 fans were overkill I really don't think you need that many fans unless you have a very specific use case. If you're going to use 9 fans just know that your case will be very noisy. Make sure you balance your setup though. Slightly more fans set as intake Vs exhaust to maintain positive pressure otherwise dust will settle in your case.

The real question is... why do you need 9 fans [emoji848]

I went and got a Corsair Commander pro for now, will add the smaller one once I have the 360 AiO witht he same fans on it.

I did not know that these fan controllers would be able to control the speed (to a degree) on 3pin non PWM fans. :)
