Hi All,

I'm looking to build an office PC for my mom, something that's good enough and then a bit extra.

No need for a GPU, the most graphics work it will get is in Visio (for now atleast)....Have monitor, peripherals etc already....

Any advice on the below, anything I should change or perhaps have forgotten?

That CPU doesn't contain integrated graphics so you'd need a GPU.

Rather get something like a 3200G.

That case is a bit overkill I rate?

If you can find yourself in Amanzimtoti I have a perfectly fine office case you can have?

I'm a noob :ROFLMAO: It's been a good 10 years since I've put together a PC.

WHat about a Ryzen 3 3200G ?
Yes, it has integrated and runs pretty good. I use one and it does what I want + more. Silent and cool with the stock cooler. Just make sure you have dual channel memory then as the APU benefits greatly.

I can play games like GTA V 1080P no issues with the 3200G alone.

This could also work.

I would rather get an A320 Motherboard as your mom most likely does not need to overclock her CPU and it could save you some money.

 Murphy's law...

So I bought all the parts and built the PC, however there's an issue...

The screen sometimes flickers green, and sometimes goes permanently green....And then I have to hard reboot it by holding down the power button

It's like a "Green Screen Of Death"...anybody encountered this before?

I've updated all the drivers, re-seated the CPU with new paste again, re-seated the RAM...
