Current setup:
Study (main) - gaming PC + fibre termination with wi-fi router + tp link AV600 powerline adapter
Bedroom x2 (< 10m away) - android tv box
Bedroom (~20m away) - desk for laptop via wi-fi
Living Room (~30m away, multiple walls) - AV600 access point for wifi + tiny PC (ethernet on AV600) + decoder (ethernet on AV600)
AV600 - dedicated plug via 2-point adapter on both sides
Issue:
The AV600 loses signal between the adapter and the access point, i.e. internet connection lost. This happens a few times a day (under fair amount of usage) and is annoying as it takes a few mins to reconnect. I originally thought the AV600 was borked so I replaced it with a new one and the issue persists. Also replaced the plug in the wall with a new unit to eliminate dodge connection/wiring.
Question:
What setup changes should I make to make sure I still have network as per current setup that won't cost an arm and a leg.
- Just pull a cable and add another wi-fi router in living room (cable truncing available in the wall)
- Wi-fi mesh kits are stupid expensive
- A set of repeaters (unsure if viable)
