Adventure bike advice

The other painful factor is cost. Also something for myself, it is inevitable that I will drop the bike (probably trying to do something pretty stupid), that’s my nature, I don’t want to be hunting eBay for Ducati parts... I’d rather phone the wreck yard and have them ask me what colour my bike is so they can match something up, this is also more of a “gap” bike, think of it as taking a break from the 299km/h and open up other options like gravel roads and long distances, I’m in a way nervous I find an ADV bike I love “too” much that I never go back to superbikes.

The superbike itch never goes away. You either love speed or dirt or both. If that is the case for you get a KLR like they have recommended on the side.

This plan has crossed my mind on more than one occasion but then we open the maintenance can of worms, two bikes, two insurances ect.

Also kitted out with the bigger wheels etc? if so you have my attention

Haha no. I’m willing to bet those wheels etc are worth R30k alone.

Waste of money imo. That bike’s suspension was never designed to do that kind of work and the motor+gearing is all wrong.
Rather buy the right tool for the job to start with.

nice dude, good bikes that, I just struggle with their after sales service here in Cape Town. So I went for a BMW GS 1200 Adventure.
A mate of mine got so fed up with the service of KTM he gave his bike back....

Agree, doesnt matter how good the bike is, it is the after sales service that will keep the client coming back for more.
