So I can't get a new Adobe CC key from a reseller when my active sub expires in a couple of months?

Not quite true. Anyone with an active subscription had no issues. My next billing date is April 2022.

That said, it would be rather foolish to go after these things now. This ship has sailed.
I've been subscribed for years, but bought a 1-year key here end May 2020 that is supposed to expire on 1 June 2021, but got the dreaded email today that my software will stop working on 15 February cause one or more of them is not genuine.

I had the same issue. If you didn't get it revoked you are in the minority it seems. My active sub ended 5 months in. I ended up back with Adobe directly for my photo package and Premiere Elements. Don't use these keys.

It doesn't matter how many years you were subscribed for. Only whether you had an active subscription on your account for the duration of the prepaid period. I have yet to see someone with an active sub have time revoked. On the Adobe account page, do you have a next billing date due to an active subscription?

How can an active sub end if it only resumes after the prepaid period? I know someone who redeemed 8 years of these codes. Their next billing date is in 7 years and a bit. Adobe will wait forever for your billing to resume.

I am only sharing what actually happened to me. My original subscription was for the photography package and the prepaid code was for the entire suite.

Good luck to your friend who redeemed 8 years of these codes successfully. I am sure the next billing date is 7 years from now... I am also sure that will change when his codes are revoked. They are still in the process of doing this it seems. I used a code, and 5 months into the 12 month period, it was flagged. At this point, I had no access to anything (even Photoshop which was part of my original sub) and had to commit to a new 12 month period with Adobe. If it was not for Carbonite and the iTrader system, I doubt if anyone would have received a refund from the sellers.

It seems what you are saying is that if you are already in a 12 month period with 2 months to go (for example), you might activate this code and start a 12 month prepaid period with your 'active subscription' keeping the code from becoming flagged or invalidated by virtue of there being a billing date (albeit 12 months into the future)? I am saying in reality that didn't happen for me.

It sounds like you were not on the All Apps plan though prior to redeeming the code?

I'm not claiming anything as the gospel truth. I'm just saying that as of right now, touch wood, I'm not aware of a single case of someone with an active All Apps plan having any issues with these codes.

My next billing date is April 2022 and of all the people I helped secure these codes, not a single one who had issues had an active plan. So hopefully Adobe doesn't care to mess with their paying subscribers.

I cancelled my monthly plan when going onto this prepaid one.

Why would people purchase a prepaid code and retain a monthly paid plan for a subset of the same programs covered by the prepaid code?
Because we have good pricing that we want to retain and/or want to ensure continuity of service once the prepaid period has run its course.

If you're someone who needs Adobe CC, it makes no sense to cancel your subscription.

So basically you "suspended" the monthly subscription until the prepaid one "completes", otherwise it makes no sense to pay twice for the same thing.

Adobe would never double charge. Your active sub just bolts to the end of your prepaid period.

Ah shit. There's seems to have been another cancellation wave, @Arise and sundry.

Four further reports in a single day. As before, none who had an active billing arrangement with Adobe. Touch wood of course.

Seems like this is what's happening.

I had an active sub before popping in the code and I'm still fine. My code expires in June, got it from @LetumKeys
Also, I have additional 1TB CC storage which goes off every month so perhaps Adobe is leaving my All Apps alone cause give them money?

Probably just a matter of time before someone at Adobe notices they didn't remove the prepaid subs from people with dormant monthly subs.
