The particular model I have is slightly higher spec'd than any of the available links I could find. My model has a 512GB Samsung 970 SSD, 2TB HDD and 32GB RAM, instead of the 128GB , 1TB HDD and 16GB RAM listed in the links.

This laptop is huge and heavy with an equally massive power brick, and has spent it's life anchored to my desk. I do not need the processing power any longer and am looking for something portable in the ultrabook size range.

I would ideally like to trade for something like a Razer Blade Stealth (HP Spectre, Dell XPS or similar also considered) and a cash difference (we can discuss, based on what you have to trade).

Quick spec Summary:
  • Intel Core i9 8950HK
  • NVIDIA GTX 1070 8GB
  • 32GB 2666MHz DDR4 Memory
  • 512GB Samsung 970 SSD
  • 2TB HDD
  • 17.3" FHD, GSync 144Hz Display
  • Multi zone RGB backlit keyboard
  • Please refer to the product page for the (long) list of other features

*NOTE*

This laptop had an issue a few weeks ago, causing frequent crashes and blue screens; which I couldn't seem to resolve. I booked it into ACER for diagnosis and the GPU was found to be faulty. The entire mainboard was replaced, including the CPU (as the GPU is soldered on and not removable), as well as the thermal module (heatsink and cooling assembly). So the laptop is "new" on the inside now and still under warranty for a little over 6 months (all hardware is covered under the warranty, excluding software related faults)

*UPDATE 30-08-21*

Further repair work was carried out under warranty. After the initial Motherboard replacement, there was an issue with the serial number not being injected which caused a lot of software issues.

The unit was booked into ACER again and they then had to replace a number of hardware items as follows:

  • Brand new SSD (the recovery partitions were corrupt and ACER loads individual OS packages with licenses per SSD, so it needed to be replaced
  • Brand new upper control board (the multi-zone RGB was not working properly)
  • Brand new keyboard (RGB lighting not working correctly)
  • Brand new upper face plate (the entire plastic cover where the keyboard, touchpad and other buttons rest)

At this point, the only things that were not replaced/are not brand new are the outer shell, and the screen 😅

Bump

Besides ultrabook trades, would also consider 34" Ultrawide monitors and cash as other possible trade options.

Bump - You know that SARS return is burning a hole in your pocket;)

Bump, this is collecting dust now so i'm open to any trade + cash offers at the moment.

Will straight trade for a set of original 19” OZ Superturismo LM rims (5x112 PCD).

The laptop is completely refreshed/virtually new and ready for a new owner.

So this is the perfect time to get a ~3 year old BRAND NEW machine at less than half the original price🥳

Also, it still has 3 months of the full extended warranty remaining!
