Ahoy Carboniteers,

Selling this laptop I bought off a family friend who barely used it because the screen was completely dimmed. I've since fixed that and also found that the Aux port had the broken off end of an Aux jack stuck in it. Two tweezers and a watchmaker later I managed to get the bit out. While the Aux port works perfectly now, the laptop still seems to think there's always a pair of headphones plugged in, so you have to manually toggle between speaker and headphone output. The DVD-drive also seems temperamental. I've got it to play music off a CD, but sometimes you have to take the disc out and put it back in again to get it to work.

Otherwise the laptop is in really great condition. The battery seems to be at about +90% of its original health. 2 hours and 50 minutes of YouTube video playing took the battery down to 39%. Bonus is this one comes with its charger, the original box and most of the original packaging. Perfect machine for someone looking to affordably mobilise their workstation.

Available again.

Shipped to buyer only to have the screen go dark again. Paid to have it shipped back to me and found the actual issue this time; the monitor connector was loose:

I must've gotten lucky when I thought I'd initially fixed it, but then my good luck came to an end when it was shipped and the movement likely severed the tenuous connection.
Anyways, I've since connected it properly and added some insulation tape around the back to make sure it doesn't slip out again.
