3400g Wraith Spire on Google , shows non RGB coolers. Wraith Prism shows a RGB cooler.
If you Google wraith spire alone it will show rgb because apparently the 2700x comes with one that has lighting and looks like the one in the image of the 3400G on evetechs page

Thanks for the assistance. I probably won't be returning it because I'm out of cash right now. But I must say I still am disappointed. I wish a company as big as evetech didn't need a disclaimer saying "products may vary" and actually just advertise what we are getting. I'll make a post next time when I decide to add on a GPU or something, gotta learn from mistakes I guess

Look, its no secret I don't particularly like Evetech, but in all fairness, it seems like the fault is YOURS, and not theirs. EVERY company, Amazon, Microsoft, Takelot, PnP etc all have that same disclaimer. You're young, and this is a school fee. As they say, the devil is in the details.

But you were not looking at a 2700x... Devil is in the details, hence why I googled 3400G wraith spire and not 2700x wraith spire... NEVER assume anything in this life, it will only burn you, as you've unfortunately discovered.

If I Google VW Polo and the 1st image is a Polo GTR super-duper twin turbo 2L , would I not be silly to assume that when I ask the dealer for a Polo, that, I would be getting the 1st image I saw on Google?

I'm sorry if I sound rude, not my intention. Just be grateful this was not a more expensive mistake.

This example just shut me down completely but thanks for all your assistance mate. I guess the only was to learn was to make a mistake and yeah I'm fortunate it wasn't costly. That too, screw the lights if the pc runs fine, I can always sort that out later

8gb hyperx ram stick. But I see 5.93
This is not correct, it should show you the total memory available (8gb). We recommend that you return the memory to us for our technician to determine the cause of the fault and assist with a swap out if necessary.

@souljazk @Blood_Bought @Random_Sheep
Thanks for assisting and giving information.

As the other forum members have stated above the images are for illustrative purposes, but I'll try see if we can update image to avoid this kind of confusion in the future.

With regards to getting refund/reimbursed, there will be a handling fee applied as mentioned earlier

@Evetech Support I'll take a stab in the dark and say its an issue between Windows and the AMD chipset / CPU / mem controller or BIOS & how it reports the remaining RAM to Windows. I know what you're saying, as it would usually say "Installed memory (RAM): 8,0 GB (5.x GB Usable)" . It's simply not. @Flamboy70 install an app called CPU-z and post what it says under Memory / RAM.

Maybe other users with a AMD xxxxG series, using onboard can post their images. Or build a system at your offices and check, saves the poor dude taking it in and waiting etc .

I can hopefully do so by the weekend, busy building a 3400G with 8GB RAM. Can then do some checks to see what it does on mine. One would assume it is the GPU allocation that would cause the deficit.

Agree with @souljazk
@Flamboy70 Download CPU-Z and run it.
Thsi will tell you if the memory is 8GB or there is an issue.
I would also suggest soonest that you get another 8GB memory as you are loosing the Dual Channel by only running one dim and you will see a improvement in system performance.

Windows build ? CPU/GPU drivers? Many things to check to see what is possibly causing the issue. Could even be simply User profile corruption on the OP's system. Thanx for this though :)

I haven't gone through the whole thread but this is totally normal. 2GB of Ram is reserved for the Vega 8 or 11 on the Ryzen G series CPU's
Every build Ive done with these CPU's shows 8 or 16Gb minus the 2GB reserved memory.

yeah that I actually knew.... thing here though is, that it actually tells you still how much you have installed, regardless what gets shared

didn't Valheru also confirm that, or did I misunderstand his post? as well as NJL

could this really differ from Win 10 build to build?

I can't recall earlier builds but says 5.93Gb every time ,so no reason for Evetech to take the bundle back. Would suggest @Flamboy70 gets another 8Gb ram to get it up to around 14Gb.

Oh and how Ironic Evetech support want to swap out something that doesn't need swapping :)

Lets be fair. They're trying to help. We would all be here with pitchforks if they said "tough shit, there is no issue".

True . Still ironic :)
I'm not an Evetech basher. They're just as bad as the rest. I mean just as good as the rest.
It's good to be bad.

Load up CPU-Z, it should show you if all modules are detected.
