Hey,

About a year or so ago came up with a concept for a pc case. The following images show the first prototype in progress.

A bit of background. The concept for the case developed whilst I was trying to find something small but at the same time flexible enough to be able to adjust to future upgrades. ITX format is great due to its power to volume ratio, however finding out that your GPU or cooler won't fit by just a mm or two is really frustrating.

The idea is that If required the case can be expanded in Width with difference side panels to accommodate CPU or GPU clearances. There is even an option to expand to 14L and have support for AIO or custom Loop- if thats your thing. The side panels are 3D printed and in theory can be customized to your liking in terms of size, colour, cut outs ect (i just prefer the simple look).

Lastly, I was interested it how to improve airflow of GPUs in an ITX case. The classic 'sandwich style' case seems to suffer a bit with lastest through flow cooler designs. What I've looked at is a 90deg ( or perpendicular to the motherboard) GPU mounting. It theory this would allow the GPU to pull clean air from the rear of the case and straight out the front. Excited to get testing. Specs below.

Dimensions - 342mm (H) x 115mm (L) x 190mm (W)- 7,5L
Material- 3mm aluminium & PLA 3d printed parts.
GPU clearances- 316mm long, 43mm high (strictly 2slot) , +- 130mm width.
CPU clearance- +- 54mm ( i have a Noctua L9a+ 25x90mm fan and there is still a few mm left)
SFX and SFX-L PSU
1x2,5in SSD below the PSU
1x 15x90mm top mounted fan (above the MB)

Looks epic. Would be keen on a 14L if you ever start production on them! Been trying to find a small ITX case that can take big gpu and 240mm rad for a while!

Thanks. Cool, I'll keep sharing my progress then. Feedback welcome 🙂

An Update....

Ive been working on a new option for the vented side panels. This option has 1x1mm hole and a 60-65% open area. My hope is to improve ventilation but also to keep out dust without needing a secondary dust filter. Im still waiting for a few parts before i can do any thermal testing.

On the 14L option. Parts have been sent out for fabrication and should get them this week so ill upload that build soon. in the mean time I thought id share some renders and concepts. Feedback always welcome. Cheers

What side panel mesh is that?
Hey, it's a 3d printed side panel with brass insert threads for easy fixing. The holes are +-1mm square. I'm currently working on a fully recycled 3d printed option as well

Very nice, how much?
So, I can't say for sure on the cost at the moment. If I were to sell this i would need to do some optimising of the fabrication process. It would be great to have a locally made case at a similar or better price than importing other sff cases from around the world, that's the goal anyways . That being said I might look at selling the prototype version at cost to fund further development. You can msg me if your interested

Hey, for interest sake, what specs are you currently running? Would this case meet your requirements in terms of hardware compatibility?
At the moment running a full ATX system so wouldnt work unless i change a few parts

Hey, One more update of an expanded 9L option. This adds an additional 22mm of clearance and can be installed on either the CPU of GPU side.
Potential CPU clearance 75mm
Potential GPU clearance 65mm X 316mm (302mm with top slim fan)
In progress pics below.
