Have the itch again and was thinking of going ultra or ultra ultrawide?

The only issue I have with the 49" Samsung is the 1080p vertical resolution... Has anyone owned one or both of these options hopefully with 1440p vertical resolution.

Im sitting with the LG 34UC79G-B 34" 2560x1080p

The ultrawide is very nice but I wish the Vertical Dimension was a little taller. Feels a bit squashed.
So I'm thinking of switching over to the Mecer K3G3R 1440p but will definitely miss the ultrawide feel.

I think I am stuck at that point where i don't want to lose the ultrawide, but need to move up to 1440p without the massive price jump to 1440p UW

As I said, as long as you aren't the person that loses their shit when there's black bars the K3G3R (and any other 32") can do passable Ultrawide (2560x1080, same as your current). Better than the 25" ultrawide and possibly even just about as good as the 29".

Honestly going 49" would just aggravate your want of more vertical real estate.

I don't think there's a dualwide (or whatever one calls them) 1440P monitor yet. And if there was it would be around twice as expensive as the likes of Samsung and ASUS Designo 34" 1440P 100Hz ultrawides. (which have sold on here for just under 10 grand).

Thanks for input so far. To be honest when the 29" units first came out I was there to buy and 4 days later I sold it for a 25 percent loss. At the moment is more of a because I want change rather than a need it.
