These seem to be scarcer than hen's teeth. Maybe we should do a import, how many are you looking for?
And how long?

I'm looking for 2. They don'et need to be long, the length on the pic is what i'm looking for, but can trim a longer length one as well

Need exactly the same. Found the connectors locally at a crazy price, and the 1mm pitch cable on a 300m roll for an even crazier price so shelved the hdd aspect and used a CF card. Would still like to have the cables though.

Needed for these: http://embeddedpc.net/Product/ProductDetail/tabid/97/ArticleId/15/eBox-2300.aspx

A long time ago I was busy on a project involving these and bought a few meters of mini ide cable and a few connectors for the 2.5 inch ide hdd.

I will look in my stash of junk to see if I still have it, but do remember buying both these items at Connector Technology in Linbro Park at a very reasonable price - so may be worth checking there in the meantime. I'll let you know if I find them in my stash though. If so you could make these yourself...

just to confirm these ware used for IDE harddrives ? im sure it have new ones some where aswell but ill have a look and let you know.

Pro tip these can be salvaged from old PVR1/2 models the big grey ones... some people still have these laying around.

Used for 2.5" IDE drives (Laptop IDE drives)

Are you refering to the old SD PVRs?

is it the same one a floppy drive uses ?
Nope.

Floppy cables are 34 pin with 1.25mm strand spacing. This is the standard spacing for most ribbon cables as it uses 1/10" or 2.5 mm pin spacing on the PCB.

The ones needed are 44 pin with 1mm strand spacing.

sorry gents traveling these days until mid-next week so didn't have a chance to go through the pile of stuff; will be back wed/thu and check and inform accordingly

OK - found the stash - about 3 meters of cable and 8 connectors, all unused. Let me know who wants what.

Oh, wow! Me and @rsabluebulls each need 4 connectors and about 10cm of cable...

I think he is close to you (Sundowner?) so might be easiest if he gets them from you?

Yes, happy to collect. Need about 10cm per length.

Will arrange in the morning!
