I've been having quite a bit of trouble getting things to stick. Using PLA I was able to use Pritt to help, but that doesn't work at all with ABS. I've got some buildtack finish but it doesn't always work so lekker.

And then sometimes you get a nasty surprise:

I'm not entirely sure htf that shift happened, but you can see the supports failed to print. Tree supports are giving me a massive headache. Next time I tried some linear ones and that worked a bit better, but still took 2 attempts.

There you can see some of the Pritt I used on the PLA.

I suspect that the bed moves around ever so slightly, so I want to get some clips to hold it down toit.

Yes the magnetic fields get affected by extreme temps, for instance when printing ABS. Magnets get weak...

Nahhh no magnets on my side. It is just has a tough plastic sheet that slots in. Its a Flashforge Adventurer. The more I use it the more frustrating it gets. The surface is just plain terrible, and there is no way to properly level the bed.

Still struggling with the ABS. Pritt is out of the question so I guess I'm going to go looking for some hairspray.

Seemsblike you might have some moeisture in your filament, try dryvit in an oven, also are you using an enclosure? And on some of them, looks like your nozzle was to far from bed
You were right. I dried the filament for a good 8 hours, today completed my first ABS print. Thanks for the help folks.
@Manna Thank you as well. I had to disable my part cooling fan as it was causing thermal runaways.

Hi Guys,

Hope someone can help me.
I bought a FlashForge Finder with the assumption this is a kiddies 3D printer and would be easy to use however I have been having endless problems with it.

My current issue is that the printer gets stuck on 300 degrees, I googled it and it comes up as a bad thermistor.
I have printed for less than 70 hours on this printer, does this part normally break so easily or is this printer garbage?
How do i check if it is the thermistor or something else that is wrong on the machine?

looks like a broken thermistor. it should have a value behind the /, something like 220/220 so it knows where maintain heat.
i have a finder and have had nothing but successful prints from it.its my go to printer if the part im printing is small enough.

I took it apart and put it back together, seems like its heating up again.
Could you share your print settings with me?
My prints have been awful so far.

Are you printing ABS on 300degrees? Seems a bit high - No?
Not ABS, PLA.
The machine works for a few hours on 220 then all of sudden just shows 300/0 as per the pic above.
Hopefully now that i took it apart and push everything together it will work without errors.

Any news? Were you able to sort it out?

I ended up getting a new machine, will use the older one for spares.
Damn, that is a shame :( I'm sure it should be a relatively easy fix for somebody that know his stuff (in other words, not me)

As soon as sanity returns, reach out to the guys from DIY Electronics, or we can find somebody on here to help.
What is better than a 3d printer? 2 3d printers.

might just be bad luck, if under 70hours, surely you still have warranty, if it comes from AMS, in sure Bernard will repair under warranty

I wanted to keep the broken one for spares to fix the new one. I'll check with DIY electronics, hopefully it doesnt cost to much to fix. Would be nice to have another machine to use

I didnt get it from AMS. The store I got it from did offer to collect and fix it. However I did open and try to fix it myself so doubt it would be covered under warranty. From all the costs I did pay to try and fix it I thought it would be better to get a new one and start again. The new machine is working like a dream!
