Ppppppprint one 😁

Used to love these. It is just a bearing in a shell as far as I remember.

I was working on a star wars AT-AT but I had to stop because of a fubar nozzle. The i3 mini is great but I need something to print bigger pieces and the CR10S Pro look like it could do the job. Just need to somehow convince the missus that spending R10k on a printer is a good idea.

Lol I have to go slower with my Bondtech gears.
Interesting, I assumed that would be better. Is it motor power that is too low, not enough grip, or escaping wet noodle that is the issue?

After a long search, managed to track down a pop cycle. Too bad the rider is missing. These things are impossible to get it seems. Hopefully I have it by Friday then the testing can begin.

Just took the plunge and ordered from DIYElectronics, hope I might get it before the weekend. Ender 3 Pro.

Sweet!
The Ender 3 Pro build video should be out by then too (if you're interested)
Cool, that would help. I did sub to your YT channel. Already downloaded some projects that I want to try, cant wait.

Great stuff, replaced the nozzle and heater block last night, only to forget the ptfe tube running through the block. Only realized my mistake 5 mins into a bed leveling print.

Got my Ender 3 Pro today from DIYElectronics. Setup was fairly easy. As a first time 3D printer I am very new to this and it is awesome. Printer is busy with teh Demo Dog model. nearly 3 hours in and looks like it will be another 2-3 hours to go.

Very happy so far.

btw, anyone played gaslands? I see there is a lot of stuff on thingiverse to print. might even do it as a family thing

Hey thats pretty neat. Which one did you download. I started printing the one below in PLA but I stopped it half way as it seemed too wide.

Rip Cord by Imirnman
Tha one is to big even for my CR10s I eventually used one for Beyblades?? Just an update, I tried a lot of materials, PETG is the one to go for IMHO.

Many thanks. I need to pick up my package today from Postnet so hopefully tonight I will have the pop cycle in my hands. I have cut the cord you posted in a 1/3 of its length and will print it in PLA just to see if it fits the gap and spacing of the "gear tooth".

If it fits I was thinking that instead I should make a mold and then just cast more. I see the member on Thingiverse mentioned Smooth-Cast 65D.

Never cast anything in my life so lets see how this goes. I also see Pratley has a product called FroggyEggs. Might try that as well. Think in the long run its easier to mold and cast than to print 50 odd zip cords.

Yeah that scares me a bit lol. Enjoy the printer, as a hobby its awesome, I am currently printing a Pencil case for my son with his name on the side. Store bought one lasted exactly one day..

Question guys, what can I use to fill some holes in a print before I paint it? PLA

I use woodfiller because it acts as a primer as well. What I would suggest is doing woodfiller and then coating it in a sealer to get a uniform consistency.
Dont forget to prime PLA as it doesn't often take to some paints. A suggestion for this is modgepodge (PVA sealer) or what I have started doing is mixing woodfiller and water in a 1:1 ratio and painting it on. It removes the harshness of the layer lines and also creates a good matte surface for the paint to stick to.

Thats a pretty good idea. Those "Space Cases" don't last. Did you design the case yourself or downloaded from elsewhere and added the name ?

As for holes in the PLA print , I use Tamiya putty.
