3D Printing.. where you guys at!!!

What are they using for the "shield" part ? Would be nice if one can give them complete Face Shield.

Would be cool as a complete set, not sure what they use. But I would think that they have that in abundance. They prob cut a sheet of 20X20m into smaller sizes, then just require the clip/holder.

Access denied.

I am just printing a bunch of these anyway and will get them to a Netcare hospital during the week.
Cannot find the file they show in the Netcare image, but this one actually looks better. Doesn't need the clips.

Once you print 10, there is a form to fill out and they send someone to collect from you

Dont use the Ruah collection, there is a big controversy, they have nothing to do with the 3dprinting store one. They are targeting private healthcare and because of them netcare pulled out completely.

There is a discord group for the original thing, there is a form to collect in the discord group and 3dprintstore is doing a give away of a ender 3 pro for people that print at least 10. Its now being collected by the SA search and rescue peeps

My Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-Class beginning to take shape.
Sadly I am going to have to wait 3 weeks for the 2 DC motors and 7 servos.

Howsit guys!

So I recently embarked on using my ABS plastic, want to move from prototyping to permanent use.
The below is what happened with my first prints. Has anyone experienced something like this before?
I used the same printer to make sure that's not the problem, so I'm guessing it's either my plastic, or my settings...

Seemsblike you might have some moeisture in your filament, try dryvit in an oven, also are you using an enclosure? And on some of them, looks like your nozzle was to far from bed

Also, what temp is your bed at? And what are you using to print on? Abs is a bitch to get right, but once you sort all the issues, i prefer abs over pla for most parts

I think you might be right about moisture, I did hear some crackling when it heated up to 230.
So the bed was at 100/110 for my tests. It is coated with a thick layer of hairspray. It's been working well with getting PLA to stick.
Problem is not really just the first layer, as you can see in the pic, the first part has issues all the way with extrusion.
Not using an enclosure.

Good morning Verkeer.
I hope you are well in this infectious times. I print ABS 99% of the time.
My settings: Bed 90 and nozzle 230.
No airflow (fan) over your heat block, nozzle, and printbed. Only fan over the cooling tower otherwise you will get heat creep.
The printer must be enclosed or no sudden airflow through the room you are printing in.
Hope this helps.
Cheers
I print on a glass plate. I use Alcolin Cold Glue mix with water. It works great for me.

Hi guys after many months of waiting (thank corona for that) i have finally received my printer (Tronxy xy-2 with the filament runout sensor and glass bed), everything seems to work except i cannot print it keeps throwing up errors, the hotend temp sensor hovers between - 47 and -50 degrees, could it be a faulty hotend sensor that is causing the problem ?

the bed heats up and that sensor is working pefectly. i have contacted tronxy support over the weekend but they havent answered yet

Hey Man.

My experience is if its showing a negative value the sensor is busted or not connected to the main board.

I think your Thermistor is either broken(the little glass at the end) or 2 the wire is off or is making contact with something metal (making a short)

Guys, anyone know where I can find black PLA filamant?? Urgently need, any brand will do at this stage - I do prefer eSun PLA+

PS. I checked all the regular stores, no one has stock :/

Hey Man.

I ordered from Why? Toyz | Shop couple days back. unfortunately its not a 1kg roll, but a 500g (R195). but at least they have stock. they also have stock of a locally produced white PLA++ (needs 240 on the nozzle and 70 on the bed) which i got but have not tested yet so i cant vouch for the quality just yet. (might need to contact them to find out what colours they have)
but give them a shot! have only had great service from them.
