Anyone here able to print PETG. I was moving my printer and tripped.. and a bunch of my printers printed parts shattered and need reprinting. Oh and I have a gash on the side of my head and ear..
More importantly my printer. !!!!!!!!!

Anyone own a Ender 5?
I am really keen on the Ender 5 - I am considering getting the 5, using and upgrading it for a month then possibly sell my fully modded Ender 3.

BUT I might just not sell the Ender 3 lol

The problem I have with all these models that creality sells a 1.1.5 board for it with quieter stepper drivers and better print quality. R670 on banggood as of yesterday and are still shipping new printers with the old board. So lets say the price of printer plus a extra 900 all in. Still not a bad price

I bought an ender 3 Pro earlier this year and it came with the silent 1.1.4 board (the same board that has been rebranded to 1.1.5, so I guess I was just lucky?)

I could really not understand why everyone was moaning about the noise when I could barely hear mine until I saw someone else's printer (also ender 3 Pro) that was bought after mine but with an older board and firmware.

So I guess it depends on where you buy it and if it is new or old stock?

Again its confusing because its creality!! They have marked two different boards as 1.1.4 so you don't know what you are getting until you open it up. Its weird.

Ok! found it on Thingiverse. Start printing tonight! (Wonder if I can print it in real life size. Any of you see that docie on Dstv Saturday night of the sex robots that you can order now?) I am a dirty old man.

Jirre Blaar that is nice. Where did you get the model (stl) from?

Good......you found it.

I plan on printing this next :

What do you guys use to glue pla parts together? Printing my first multipart model.

Evening 3D printers :p

Would it be possible (and strong enough, making it viable) to print CPU AIO Brackets?

I'm not so much concerned with the backplate, but rather theAIO I have (Raidmax) the water block bracket slots around the sides of the water block itself, and concerned about that being able to be strong enough to hold the tension/force that will be applied.

The AIO is meant for up to AM3 and I am looking to print for AM4

@Shampoo1014 , pointed me to Q-Bond. Works great. Just beware there is no adjusting. Once the 2 surfaces makes contact its glued for good.

What I usually do if I think I am going to have issues , I temp glue them with something like Bostik (the yellow ugly glue that looks like snot). That way I can make adjustments and let it dry. Then once dried, I would use Q-bond on the seem to perma glue the parts. Because the Q-bond is so thin, it usually easily runs into the seam. I then just quickly wipe off any excess glue if there is any.

I use the stuff the use on plexiglass. its like R15 for a 250ml bottle. I have Q Bond but I dont want my wife to see it because she treats super glue like pritt.

I have printed a few ABS ones for CORSAIR H105. Have had no issues but I use a 60 percent infill for those.

Hi

Not sure if this is the right thread, and my knowledge on 3d printing is very little. Inside the sunvisor of my car (above the steering wheel is a mirror that has a little plastic cover that can flip open. That little flip cover recently broke. Opel wants to charge me R3200 for a new one, so I am curious if it is possible to 3d print one at a lot less than that.

I guess designing the print model would be the hardest part. So I am curious what would be needed for this, if possible at all?

Send some photos and dimensions then we can help my man.

I need to sort out my Ender this weekend. The extruder keeps slipping and creating nasty gaps between layers. Think i need to upgrade to the Micro Swiss hotend while i'm at it.

Anyone know of a prefessional 3D Printing company? BuildVolume is having issues with their large printer and I need something printed...

Rapid3D have a 1m x 1m x 500mm FDM printer (I believe it may be PLA only however it does do dual extrusion for PVA supports) but be prepared to pay. Otherwise, split it up! :D

Will contact them thank you. My model size is 500x500x100 mm but we probably need it to be PETG
