Hey guys.

Im looking at getting myself a Logitech G305 mouse, which weighs in at 100g.

One of the ways i see people lighten it is a using different batteries and 3d printing some parts.

So i was wondering if theres anyone here that could print a Honeycomb G305 battery cover for me and how much it would cost.

Plus other mods ill be doing i should get the mouse to around 70-75g from 100g. Definitely worth the fuss for competitive gaming.

Is it though? I simply can't fathom how 25grams would make a difference in competitive gaming - perhaps its just me and my old way of thinking 😁

I'll print it for you for gratis - though paying the shipping from me to you seems more costly than it's worth. Perhaps somebody in Jhb can do it for you.

@BuNNy you can get the old series g305 down to 80g just with a few slight mods before making a shell full of holes. First thing get a feel for the mouse to see if you like it. Biggest weight mod without cutting is use an AAA lithium battery because normal batteries are 23g or something each, lithium is 7g in that size and then make a ball of tinfoil ontop to make contact. That usually drops the weight immediately into the high 80s territory. Next if there is a shell cage under the clicks it can be unscrewed and they usually weigh in at 5g, plus with a lightweight mouse then you must remember a feet upgrade makes a world of difference as well in making a mouse feel light. @SILTECH786 twisted my arm to take a gander here. Plus the shell you show up above is for sale on amazon.com however its 50 dollars just for the shell but it effectively makes the g305 between 60 to 65g. Hope this helps, yes you can make it lighter after all this but at the cost of mouse functions you might actually like. Lightest I made so far was a 32g mouse but I ruined the balance unfortunately on that one by weight reduction in the wrong area

Thanks man, my plan is to do the aaa lithium with the Honeycomb battery cover and just see where that puts me. Ive arranged with @ARKSEZA to print me one and its not badly priced. So no harm in seeing the outcome but the biggest thing will be the Aaa and tinfoil
