Seems there is a little confusion as to what I'm selling here, so I have reworded the title, and am going to change the description of what I'm selling.

A few years ago I sold my fully upgraded Wanhao i3 3D printer and replaced it with a Wanhao D9, mainly because it had a much larger print area, and promised excellent performance.

When the printer arrived, it didn't live up to the promises, but had huge potential.
I upgraded part of the extruder mechanism with a metal Microswiss part, and upgraded the cooling which in stock for is woefully inadequate.
I performed various other tweaks (like the stepper smoothers) and in the end I had a very nicely performing printer.
Unfortunately for me, while making some adjustments to the cooling, I shorted the fan, and blew a mosfet on the mainboard. Yep, stupid mistake on my side working on something still powered on, but ya, school fees.

I continued printing having jury rigged and external power supply for the cooling fan, the only downside being it was manually controlled, and couldn't be controlled with gcode. I went this route because at the time, the printer was so new on the market there were no local stock of mainboards.

It was also around this time, that I thought I might like to make a project of the D9 by upgrading it with a 32bit mainboard.

I bought a MKS SBASE 1.3 and MKS 3.2" TFT, programmed the SBASE with Marlin 2.0, and got it fitted into the printer.
It was at this time, that I got very busy with work and family commitments, and didn't have any time to complete the project.

I've lost my passion for 3D printing in general, and have decided to let the project go at what I consider is a good price.

So pricing.

- Buy everything : R5000
- Buy only the printer and oe touchscreen (No mainboard) : R4000
-a brand new replacement mainboard is available from 3DPrintingStore for R1.8k)
- Buy the printer and either mainboard with corresponding touchscreen : R4500

DM me to discuss.
No shipping whatsoever. Local pickup only.

*MKS SBase 1.3 board - Bought this board and the below screen as a project to "upgrade" the D9 to 32bit. Never got the time to get too far with this.

Would you be open to splitting the bundle? I am just starting 3D printing and I think two including a rebuild will be much to start with

Tevo Tarantula is sold.
Wanhao D9 etc still available. I have reworded the OG post to reflect that this is an incomplete project for someone who wants a great printer at an excellent price and is willing to put in work to get it running.

Closing this thread for the time being.
I'm going to refit the original board and screen, and get the printer back into a state where it prints sans cooling fan.
