3000 series and FPS

Not yet. That's an expensive thing to test without being sure what the cause was.😅
Would be weird though, what made you think of ram?
Well taking out one stick is free, and you can probably borrow a kit from a friend or friendly nearby Carbie.

The fact that your issues persist despite the new GPU means that it's not your GPU. Out of mobo, CPU, boot drive, PSU, and RAM, RAM is the easiest to test and rule out. If that doesn't work you'll have to test the other components one by one to see if it fixes the issue.

Fair. I'll remove 3/4 tonight and add one by one back and see if it makes any difference.
If that doesn't work, I'll ask for a kit to rent for a day.

Ram makes no difference.
Tried different combinations of 1,2,4 with XMP on and off.
8gb of ram tanked the FPS, from 16gb upwards its still the same results.

@wesleydn
I am sad to say this, but I think your CPU is your bottleneck.
Spent many hours by now trying to find the problem.
Decided to use Task manager for once to see usage stats while having everything else closed.
my 8700 is constantly between 94-100% usage.

When I saw it, I opened afterburner and NZXT cam again, they both showed 65% usage.
Try the same, I think you might get the same results.

Unfortunitly not, see below with cpu and gpu ussage for my 7700k

I got a 10700k on thursday, its OC to 5ghz as well and seeling maybe a 10fps difference. So its not a CPU Issue, it has to be a game or driver issue.

On 1440p with low to medium settings
gpu
temp around 70c
clock constant 1995
7gb of mem used
GPU ussage around 55-60%

CPU
temp around 72c
clock 4.9ghz
CPU Ussage: 70-80%

Ram
12.5gb used

FPS
min fps 83
average 120

On 1440p with low to medium settings (150% scaling)
gpu
temp around 78c
clock constant 1902
7gb of mem used
GPU ussage around 80%

CPU
temp around 79c
clock 4.9ghz
CPU Ussage: 80-90%

Ram
12.5gb used

FPS
min fps 75
average 125

Shit. Now thats a curve ball.
I was very sure of myself.

And you tested the usage with task manager?

Makes me wonder why the 8700 would sit at 100%.

Thats freaking strange.
I had the issue even before my 3080, and its across many of my games .
I give up then, will wait it out to see if someone eventually finds a fix.
