Really hard to get these, especially the ips ones. Trying to find ones, but seems like the only options are amazon with their crazy import prices.

Yeah. There were a couple of PG279Q monitors for sale on here a few weeks back that I missed out on. I might just have to get the Acer XB271HUT here locally or import something from Amazon

Or settle for VA and the MSI Optix MAG27CQ from Evetech

That seems like a good option. I'm just not sure if it works perfectly with Gsync yet

GSync isn't that critical. Shooters and Fighters actually feel slower and hampered with it on and I find myself turning it off quite a bit. It's amazing for low FPS locked titles and any game where you are pumping so much eye-candy you are consistently getting less than 60 frames, but if your frames are higher it can feel odd, to me at least.
And with possible GSync capability through the driver anyway it still seems very worth it.

I guess it depends on the user. I hate screen tearing because I notice it even at high fps. When set up correctly (vsync turned on in Nvidia Control Panel and an in-game frame limiter capping your frame rate to below your refresh rate) Gsync shouldn't add any input lag. Or at least that's what I've seen from Blur Busters and Battle(non)sense tests. I've gotten too used to it and feel that's how games should be played. But I know I'm definitely in the minority.

The Aorus AD27QD is another freesync option that will be getting gsync certified. But I don't know when we'll get that monitor available locally

By the way, do you know if the only difference between that monitor and the MPG27CQ is the RGB?

Seems to also be some cheaping out on joystick and stand. As well as a more barebanones OSD (and no software to control the monitor functions instead of OSD).

But picture performance is identical.

Headsup! The Optix is on special today for 7K at Evetech.

It's definitely worth that.

I actually went ahead and bought the XB271HU on amazon a few days ago. 12500 with fees but was the cheapest option I could find. Only reason im avoiding VA is the apparent noticable ghosting. But the black levels seems to be superior.

That's awesome man. It seems like a really good choice for an IPS gaming monitor. Im also leaning more towards IPS over VA so I think I may buy the XB271HU or XB271HUT as well.
