Hi, got a Q about this (assuming you're familar with the router), I see it actually creates 2 separate SSIDs, one for the 2.4Gz band and one for 5Ghz. If I have an access point downstairs (apple airport express, 802.11n) would a phone etc.still seamlessly switch between the different connections (and right now as I'm typing this I realise this might be more a question about the phone not the router...)?

From my understanding as long as you keep your ssid name the same it should handover automatically

That works with my current router, but it's an older one, this one uses a different ssid for the 2.4ghz band and 5ghz band.

So... can anyone recommend an inexpensive power adapter that works with this router?

Could I ask those of you that have bought one of these routers. How have they been? Any issues setting up with a telkom adsl line?

Would you say WiFi performance is any better than the standard bit of kit from telkom?

Oh and where were you able to find Power supplies for them?

I powered mines using an old 5amp cctv power supply that I had lying around and an inexpensive one I saw online was at takealot but have not tested it

Thanks for the info. I think I might have a power adapter left over from an old Router but I'll have to have a look when I get my unit as to what plug it has on it.

Otherwise how has the performace been? Better than your old one?

But I'm not a qualified electrician!

Does the doohickey fit, I know they come in various sizes, and something about polarity, but don't want to overpay for a "universal" one I don't need.

The do hickey does indeed fit as it is a standard connector
