Make/Brand: Porsche Cayenne GTS 4.8L V8
Color: Silver
Year: 2010
Odometer reading:150000
Warranty: None
Service history: Complete with Porsche
Condition: Excellent
Extras: The usual items, sun roof, Nav, Porsche tow bar
Location: Cape Town/Bellville/Stellenbosch
Delivery available: Sure, we can discuss sharing costs
Price/including fees: R300 000.00 slightly negotiable
Any major accidents etc: None since in my possession, nothing major that I am aware of from previous owners
Reason: Too many cars and not enough storage, one of them has to go

This has been my daily drive for a couple of months, and I absolutely love driving it. Will be sad to see it go but need the space. It has the 4.8L V8 which is far superior to the 4.5L V8 found in the Cayenne S model and is extremely reliable. She has plenty of power, with close to 300KW from the factory. I will throw in a spare 20" tyre with the sale. I have also recently replaced the rear tyres. Previous owner replaced the discs as far as I know, so the general big spend maintenance items have been taken care of and she was recently serviced at Porsche Centre in Century City.

I have just replaced the cardon shaft(a known problem on this generation Porsche) with an imported American replacement part. This was preventative maintenance. It will have a full detail and polish before delivery to the new buyer.

Pics: These are older pics, will gladly take some new ones should a buyer be interested

@Moonunit were all services done by Porsche? Or by someone else?

Out of interest what is your realistic day to day fuel economy like?

With those GP plates on I assume you've had the car less than a year?

****

Sorry I actually found the detail now that all services were in fact done with Porsche, somehow missed it first time.

@SauRoN yes as far as I know all services done by Porsche. Daily is around 16l/100km mixed driving. A big motor like this obviously shines on the open road. Had the car less than a year yes, with a 6.0L Lumina in the garage one of the V8's had to go.

Amazing. I'm sure the services will be expensive though... Such is the case with inherently expensive first-purchase vehicles :(

Actual cost of services isnt bad when compared with other German and Japanese brands, but the level of service you receive from Porsche is unbelievable.

It's not going to be Polo level service pricing (not that those are cheap either) but it's actually not that crazy outside of major things like suspension and brakes which you could do elsewhere of course.

A mate of mine went from an Audi RS4 to a Porsche 911 Turbo S and the Porsche has been cheaper to run overall.

Like Moonunit says it's the service experience that matters though.

Most VAG shops could service it but it's the same reason I asked if all services were done by Porsche as the moment you do that the resale value is gone.

True, but really sad. I personally would never trust any OEM Stealership with servicing my car, as I have only ever experienced poor workmanship and attention to detail. Sure the customer service is great and the buildings are fancy, with refreshments etc; but I personally know lots of technicians employed by the big brands and what happens behind the scenes is anything but. Have had multiple negative experiences with Audi, and for the price they charge; it's ridiculous.

The only benefit of servicing at a Dealership would be if the vehicle is still under motorplan; and in that case you'd be foolish not to, as you've already paid for the service upfront with the cost of the vehicle. They're excellent at changing your oil and topping up the coolant (for a nice premium), but ask them to troubeshoot an issue and their true incompetence shines through:ROFLMAO:

You've clearly never owned a Porsche then? Their service is second to none. I'd happily buy a Cayman as a daily driver because I know that they are reliable and the costs are not too hideous.

I don't trust other OEM services for shit though. I send my car to my mechanic because, although he might be a homophobic asshole, he's amazingly good.

Audi/VW I completely agree with you.

BMW and Porsche....completely different league of servicing excellence.

Generally however none of their business models are to cater for vehicles outside of warranty or motorplan any more, which is why they aren't going to dig too deep and the answer is simply to replace instead of repair as that's what the world has leaned towards with the motorplan farse.

Can't really blame them for that and of course it creates a market for great third parties.

I myself am party dreading taking this Kia to a dealership due to it's plan requiring it over my GTI that has gone to a private mechanic and now good buddy for the past couple of years.

I think you should mention the following regarding the Porsche 10 year/200 000km
The Porsche Approved Warranty covers all components of your Porsche and offers the same level of service as our new car warranty. In principle, the Porsche Approved Warranty covers a period of at least 12 months and can, of course, be extended provided your Porsche is no more than 9 years old and has covered less than 200,000 km/125,000 miles. So we insure your Porsche for up to 10 years and, if your vehicle is less than 8 years old, you can choose a 24-month warranty period. Even if you didn’t buy your car with a Porsche Approved Warranty, or if the warranty has already expired, this can still be arranged through your Porsche Centre. Your Porsche Centre will be happy to provide you with further information.
