Item: PRS SE Custom 24 Fret Whale Blue, model from late 2009
Age: Approximately 10 years, only been used for around 4 months while I tried to learn. Has been well looked-after in my room, but never been played. Currently she is looking for a kind and loving home!
Price: R7500
Warranty: Nope
Packaging: Original PRS guitar bag
Condition: Absolutely excellent. Has barely been used
Location: Paulshof, Johannesburg
Reason: Finally decided that I will never get around to using the thing.
Shipping: Not the greatest idea for this instrument. However, if you insist, risk and cost will have to be on you
Collection: Definitely
Link: PRS SE Custom 24 - Tobacco Sunburst <- Not the exact same model year, but it gives an indication of the visuals
PRS SE Custom 24 2009 Black Cherry | Sudden Asylum <- Gives an indication of the same model year guitar, just in a different colour

Item: Roland Cube 80X amplifier
Age: Approximately 10 years. Same story as above, as the two of them were purchased together
Price: R2000
Warranty: No
Packaging: Picked up the amp from the shop without a box or anything, so unfortunately this is non-exisistent
Condition: Excellent
Location: Paulshof, Johannesburg
Reason: Same as above, never got around to using it properly and I realised that I probably never will.
Shipping: Would probably not be the best idea, however risk and cost would have to be on you.
Collection: Definitely

All prices are completely negotiable. I am looking to move this rather quickly as it is just taking up space at the moment.

I'd suggest advertising on these Facebook groups also:

If your guitar is 10 years old there are a couple of features it won't have that the new one in the link does have so just be sure to mention those or else you might get grumpy buyers.
(I have the newer one so I researched it intensely before buying)

Post a a few photos of the guitar. Chek if it has push pull tone and/or volume pots for coil splitting, that + the control layout, pickup selector used (will be either a blade or toggle) and the pickups (they will almost certainly be PRS branded ones with either black or zebra colored bobbins or with a metal shield over them) should be the only different between different year models.

Thanks for the advice guys. As you can probably gauge, I do not know much about this kind of stuff.

I updated the post to show include a link of a relevant model year guitar, as well as adding images to the post as well.

Thanks all, your advice and assistance is MUCH appreciated!

sweet! seems like the difference is the control layout and your model uses a toggle switch to change between neck mid / neck + bridge / bridge pickups. Other than that it should be the same as the newer models. unless they changed the pickups, but those zebra ones you have are PRS made and should pretty much be the same as what you will find in the newer year models.

Awesome, thanks for the clarification! Now I have also learned something!

There were some "radical" changes added to the SE range in 2012 (after your guitar unfortunately):

Chief among them being
1. the addition of coil tap via a push pull pot
2. adding the "birds" inlays
3. Moving from a flat to a "semi carved" top
4. Changing to a 3 way blade pickup switch.

Man, one day I'll earn enough to be able to buy myself a PRS Guitar :(

SAMIS is great. I used to be an admin there before I left Facebook. Just be prepared to deal with people criticizing your price. There will always be dudes complaining and trying to pull a fast one on you on value.
