Hi there.
Anyone got any experience with either of these? Both retail for around R3799.
On paper they look similar.
I know they are both TN but some TN are better than others. Reviews online for the LG seem decent. The Dell appears to be newer so less reviews.

Can't comment on the exact models, but I had both the 34" LG ultrawides (60hz and 144hz models)
Currently on the Dell s2716Dg.
Build quality on the Dells are much better, and the stands are proper.
The Dell is Gsync. LG is Freesync, so depends what you want to run ( your sig 1080 still current? )

That aside, and a bigger issue for me is this:
Dell: 1ms (gray to gray)
LG: 5ms (gray to gray) - with claimed 1ms motion blur reduction magic, which judging from my LG experience, just meant more smearing 🤪
Dell should look and feel more crisp on fps games

Dell has my vote.

thanks for reply!

Both are freesync. The new Dells seem to be a step backwards compared to yours. Less features, cheap stand and poorer panel. I actually saw the S2419HGF at Makro and wasn't that blown away by what I saw. Granted, I'm used to a 4k IPS HDR monitor and Makro probably didnt have it set up properly but it looked noticeably duller compared to others on display.

Reviews wise those I've read say the LG 24GM79G is actaully really good for a TN panel whereas the reviews for the Dell doesn't exactly praise it. The LG also appears to have the better adjustable stand in this case 🤔

I have an LG. They are really nice. Stand is rather solid. And they have a few presets/settings depending on what you play.

Get both at Makro, try them side by side and keep the best one. Makro will allow it within 7 days.

Got the S2419HGF. Really quite impressed so far. TN panels have come a long way.
First round of Apex I played with the new monitor got my best score yet lol. 144hz ftw.

Once you go 144hz+ you can't go back to 60hz.

Also if you feel your monitor is a bit dull, try playing with your gamma settings within your gpu control panel.

I had to use my iGPU for a couple of days because my GPU died and 60Hz hurt me, I couldn't believe the peasantry I was using all my life.
