1440p 27" IPS 165hz vs 32" VA 144hz under R10k or less

Hello Hi

Having recently gone from a 25" wide to an AOC 27G2 27" 144hz 1080p I now feel my RTX 3070 is wasted on the 1080p resolution and would like to go up to 1440p with a possible upgrade to a RTX 3080 in the near future <6months.

Need some advice on which would be better, mostly used for gaming.

Not keen on a curved screen but these are the options I am looking at, open to alternatives.

Leaning towards the Dell at the moment if you can find one but like the extra 1 year warranty on the AOC range.

I have both the Dell S2721DGF and the AOC Q27G2 screens. Both are 1440p, however the AOC is a VA 144hz panel and the Dell a 165hz IPS. The Dell is brighter than the AOC, but the AOC has better contrast. Both, in my opinion from using them, are great in their own right. And chosing one would come down to personal preference. I would pick the Dell, as i personally like the bright and vibrant colours an IPS monitor over the AOC.

This is how I feel too.

I much prefer IPS panels to VA or TN.

I have the Dell and I’d happily buy another.
