Gents, need some advice here, helping a mate with his pc and not sure what to get for R3000.

Will be for 1080p gaming, what would the best bang for buck be?

Gtx1070/ti
I'm gaming 1080p Ultrawide @ 2560x1080 and depending on the game my frames are 75 and up at stock settings. Battlefield 5 runs at about 70. Normal 1920x1080 should see a higher frame rate.

Second the 1070.

Best bang for buck imo. I'm running one. On 1080p. Haven't had any issues.

You can pick them up for R2500-R3000.

For your budget def a vega 56 or a 1070, but my opinion is the 1070 (but that's just cos I'm not an amd gpu fan)

good advice to follow I have a similar budget for new card, liking the sound of the 1070 thanks hard to find in that price rang so far though !

5500XT brand new with warranty on wootware for around 3k i think

I have a 1070 and game at 1080p. Haven't really come across any game that I had issues with. Maybe can't play every new title at max, but definitely at high settings overall.

Thanks for all the input guys. It seems the Vega 56 at R3k, vs 1070 ti at +-R4k is the best value at this stage.

Mate bought the Vega 56 and very happy wiht the purchase.

1070, def worth it. run one myself, have yet to c a game struggle...
