We all know DRAM pricing the world over is pants at the moment, but if you're going to buy memory, then you may as well get the most bang for your buck even if you're buying at the high end. KingBank's DDR5 8000 CL38 memory from Wootware is probably the most affordable 48GB 8000 kit in the...

This is by far the most cost effective way to get a high performance and high overclocking motherboard on the Z890 platform. GIGBAYTE has done a stellar job here regarding the DRAM capabilities of this board. Not only does it offer hassle free DRAM frequency overclocking, above DDR5 10,000. It...

The ROG STRIX B850-G GAMING WIFI is not going to break any records or push the boundaries of what you'd expect out of a Micro-ATX board. However it is available for a really good price and it looks good as far as I'm concerned (even better than the B860 version). for the going price of just...

G.SKILL has just launched the new Trident Z5 Royal NeoX series DDR5 memory, featuring "AMD EXPO™ Technology: Featuring Ultra Low Latency", with specifications ranging from DDR5-6000 CL36 to DDR5-6000 CL26. The Trident Z5 Royal NeoX series DDR5 is a flagship masterpiece that merges luxury...

One is slightly cheaper, the other is a longer term investment. But which one is faster for gaming right now? (and productivity, but that was always obvious)

Corsair's launched its new iCUE LINK TITAN II coolers. Focusing on two things PC builders care about: lower temperatures and less noise. these news AIOs feature a redesigned FlowDrive Gen 2 pump, improved cold plate and refined radiator that should cool demanding processors more effectively...

CORSAIR® has just announed the upgraded RMe Series power supplies, paired with a CORSAIR ThermalProtect PCIe 5.1 600W 12V-2×6 GPU power cable. This upgrade to the RMe series offers PC builders a powerful and resilient hardware bundle for their next build or mid-cycle upgrade. The PSUs are now...

This one is self explanatory. Couldn't show much on camera because of reasons* of course, but what an incredible team of engineers I got to sit with for a very long time. How they think and approach all designs and performance is 2nd to none. Legends

Corsair’s Nightsword v2 Wireless SD puts a Stream Deck button on a mouse (not sure why you'd want that, but someone does for sure). Press it and a customizable control panel pops up on screen, letting you launch apps, run shortcuts, control music, manage streams, or trigger multi-step actions...

MSI is marking its 40th anniversary with the limited-edition DRACO EPIC EDITION range, covering everything from its X870E ACE MAX motherboard and RTX 5080 SUPRIM to cooling, power supplies, chassis and gaming peripherals. The hardware gets a distinctive deep-blue Draco-inspired finish, but these...

Not sure how I missed posting this video. But either way, for all intents and purposes, why would a person who just wants to run games and their apps need a better board than this one? Sure enough it's not got as many connectivity features or bandwidth as the X870E, but how many of us have...

Trick is to not get into the weeds of it. You'll spend hours trying to squeeze out performance gains that don't matter in your apps or games. Both 6400 and 8000 beat the default 5600 or whatever. All i all you need to tune are the three primary timings, tRFC, tREFI, TWR, SCLs and tRDWR. Set the...

Your best bet is DRAM OC, as we've seen 8000+ is now able to match 6000/6400 and actually beat it in many games and apps. It's taken a while here, but 8400 needs manual tuning for stability, but it is getting there. CL40/38 8400 is most certainly faster than 6400 CL30

Yes it does, has an external clock generator as you know. Didn't work in my case though, was easier to just use basic PBO

Here's another GeForce RTX 5090 review guys, this time it's the AORUS Master and well, it is a masterfully crafted graphics card by any measure. It better be as well for $5,000 USD or R75,000. The real kicker here is that this is a good price, because it'll be soon north of R90,000. So if you're...

This one is about as good an AM5 board as you could expect or need to have. Tricked out with all the features you'd need barring TB4, it pretty much covers any and all things one could possibly ever want. DRAM OC is pretty good as well for a 4-DIMM board, not the 9600 claimed as that is not...

Truth be told I didn't think this case would be anything special, but when it came in I was pleasantly surprised by how meticulously put together it is. The attention to detail, build quality and intentionality is 2nd to none. Another reason why CORSAIR is truly at its best when producing...

Elgato's just unveiled the Key Light Air MK.2, their 2nd iteration of their popular creator light. Improvement include a brighter, softer light, better, more intuitive touch controls, USB-C power, and more flexible mounting options. Bringing content creator videos just a little closer to...

Ever wanted a Wood Grain themed high end motherboard that'll last you a while? Well the AERO X3D Dark Wood may be that board. Solid build and it really does look and feel premium. I'd have expected it to be R12K+ but it's not at just R8,999 at Wootware. There's really nothing to dislike about...

I've been using this beta or prototype X5 Notebook and I must say, it is easily the best Wootbook, or rather the best notebook I've used in terms of balance, weight, power and design. It's not the most exciting visually, but it more than makes up for that in terms of how intentional the design...

Seem like an eternity since I published one of these, but what a fascinating journey it's been. What the engineering minds at Intel have been doing is nothing short of magic with the E-Cores and just so much more over the years. It may have been a rough 6 years or so, but the progress never...

GIGABYTE's ICE series of hardware and products are looking better with each iteration. While this isn't the latest, it's just as good looking but best of all, the price is right and so is the performance. Truth be told, it's either this or the GeForce RTX 5070, which is just nowhere near as...

Tested this GPU a while ago, but only got to put out the video now. There's not much to say about 5090s that hasn't been said already. This ASTRAL version is insanely heavy, but also very powerful. For the R75K asking price, it had to be impressive and it is in every way possible. Is it value...

Been a while since I looked at anything ASRock, but I did make it out to their booth to check out what they had. Not much in terms of the traditional hardware we know them for, but they do have some really interesting AIOs .

ROG at Computex 2026, honestly navigating this booth was just something else.

This is my brief overview of what was on show at the GIGABYTE booth at Computex 2026. With no new GPUs or CPUs it was a little challenging for vendors to show anything truly new, but it was still worth the visit. GIGABYTE truly has some of the best looking hardware on the market

Corsair's attempt at an entry level or affordable chassis, is admirable, but just not there yet compared to what other brands more familiar with this price point are producing. Non the less if you're a die hard Corsair fan, the 3200D RS can be worthwhile. For me, I'd rather the more high end...

I know GIGABYTE just launched the DUO X version of this motherboard, but I'm here to tell you they are identical, outside of the name. Even to the point of cross flashing (Don't do it though), without issue. Regardless, we may not be able to buy new memory, but we can make the memory we have...

True, however for most users and enthusiasts at least the OC kind, this isn't really important. The difference in transient response, ripple etc. between the THOR I and this 3rd gen model is measurable, but not meaningful even with full pot Helium OC on HEDT. So what I'm saying is that, much...

1,600Watts of power for R16,000 so ROG is charging R1,000 per 100 Watts 🤣 But seriously, its a mighty fine PSU, didn't go into internals buy speaking to those in the know, they do say its impeccable technically. The best they've worked on since being in PSUs 20 years+. Regardless, my quick...

Barring the game performance anomalies I experienced, these are great upgrades or replacements rather to the existing 245K and 265K. Had the 200 series launched in this form, I think things would have gone down better in the last 14 to 15 months for Intel. Either way, still another video to...

Looked at this one before in the vanilla version, but these newer one is just R500 more but adds a lot to the motherboard that makes it well worth it, including an 8-Layer PCB, Dual Gen5 M.2 support and so much more. For the going price of R6,799, makes you wonder if the more expensive AM5 ROG...
