Wow I’m pretty surprised at the low level of interest - is it an apple thing or the fact that I bought this in HK rather than locally?
final price drop R12500
may as well keep it As a spare for any less.

The model you have actually has a physical duel SIM unlike other iPhone XS Maxes which only has a single physical SIM so I don’t think where you bought it is a factor. It’s actually rarer since your model is only sold in mainland China. It’s almost payday so I’m sure someone has been thinking of taking it off your hands. They just need the monies. 😂

1. No official Apple support since it’s an import (can’t get a battery replacement, screen replacement, etc, unless you’re willing to use non-OEM parts at wefix and the likes)
2. The Max form factor has not been very popular in SA for some reason

agree on number 2 but core fixed my 8 plus screen when I cracked it from HK although I did have to pay. I don't think they can refuse to fix an iPhone, they might just not do it under warranty. luckily this one is out of warranty and all is good and my new 11 pro Max from HK is working well.

Sold. Thanks everyone that got in touch.
