Bikers!?

Was an awesome race at Zwartkops this weekend!

Nice! I want to see an after pic of that shiny slick.

Also, why the bike sale?
Will send some more pics! That slick grips like a mofo.
My dad is selling some of the bikes, all pie in the sky at the moment, but that is what it looks like. Since he got the Ural Sidecar he is not riding any of his other bikes at all o_O

Dude, your mom is bad ass!!

What did that XR cost? "Apparently" there were only 3 brought into the country. None of which Northside received but Northside sold 2? Bullshit news I got from a Sandton salesman.

I love my XR, there is so much usable power. I cannot speak more highly of a motorcycle.

Hey peeps, perhaps one of you can help.
I am looking for a decent insurance that will cover my zx6r, but also includes a excess waiver fee that can be paid so I don't end up with a R15k minimum excess like I have currently.
Luckily I have not put my bike down yet, but would rather not end up having to fork over that massive sum of money unnecessarily.
And before anyone asks, I signed up with the first cheapest option as I had to have insurance for a bike I did not yet have else Bikefin would not do the financing.

Go through a Broker.

I am with mutual and Federal. Santam can help.

Also PSG insurance, does motorcycle insurance. if you get excess weiver your premium will increase.

I believe omni group is also really well priced.

Spoke to Mutual earlier, and a motorcycle falls under household items so can't be taken on it's own apparantly...
As for the excess waiver, I am aware my premium will increase, but it's a small price to pay to save on a massive excess.

Iron Horse was also good when i used them a while back

Get a different broker. a Vehicle can never be under household.

It's not under household content, but usually you get a better deal when bundled with it.

So why not just move your household contents over as well?

I'm quite happy with Stepp.

However...

1. How old are you?

2. How long have you had your license?

Depending on the above you may never get away from the high excess with any insurer.

Actually in contact with Iron Horse, or rather waiting for them to get back to me.

@SauRoN I was specifically told that a motorcycle falls under household items, and seeing as I don't have anything else household wise to insure they aren't willing to just insure my bike.

Then you just take the bare minimum household content amount.

Often it’s still a cheaper deal as much as it makes no sense.

Most general insurers don’t just do bikes in my experience. So you always just bolt on household for the bundled rate. Think you just misunderstood what they meant. It needs to be inside alongside household contents.

Used to be 80k cover but might be more now. Still should be like R100.

Ah yeah!! haaha!
Those things are great fun.

There is the normal production class, and then the modified mini motos.

When I was about 13 I raced mini motos. Would have won the championship, but I got penalized on the last round for aggressive riding and ended up second.

There is a kid riding that is 4 years old. His feet just just touch, it actually looks in proportion! so awesome

Details. Now. Please?
Was messing around on a friends new honda 450r super moto late after fitting some new goodies. His dad had a new AGV helmet (not sure which model it was, was in their signature Italian colours though.) which he was fine with me using... My friend's offroad helmet was all sweaty, so I opted for the new AGV.

Was doing wheelies from standstill, and the one went too far and I was on the back pegs in about 4th gear flat taps. Not sure what happened, but I put her down and the front wheel gripped hard and I high sided. I flew straight up into the air at about 140 and landed right on my head like a spear into a curb. Was sleepy time for 2 days.

High siding from a whellie o_O That is a bit hectic. Can't picture how that could have happened
