Still busy tinkering...

Afterburner @ max power limit, 100% fan profile, +800 memory, + 100 core and go.

If it crashes drop the core with 5mhz increments until it passes, if it passes on +100 then add 5mhz and so on.

That's a good baseline, then you can continue to crank memory up until you see your score isn't increasing anymore. That will be your limit.

CPU needs attention...

Cpu score is pretty solid, to me that looks totally in line for a 4.5ghz 5950x

ek het die kraan vir ou laas oopgedraai hahaha maar ek vermoed dis die max wat ek hier gaan uitstoot tensy ek die cpu oop draai maar hulle word te warm so ek doen dit nie sommer nie

Okay so I sold my RTX 3080 Gaming X Trio and got the Palit RTX 3080 Ti GameRock OC. The card is fast, but it seems as though the added power limit does not mean much as the card is dropping clocks a lot more than I would have thought. I tried the Strix Bios but clock speeds were way lower and the fan speed not the same as Palit, I also tried the MSI Suprim X bios and fans speeds a lot better and performance also a little better.

What was the max power draw you could acheive with the palit?
The Palit has 400watt base power draw and 440watt max, but it will drop clocks when it reaches 400watt, so my card can basically only do 400watt. This run here was done with Suprim X bios clocked 30mhz lower and power draw 446watt max.

I see the chip itself can clock higher than mine, mine basically crashes at 2160mhz. But I didn't do any kind of fine tuning really, I just saw it crashed on +110mhz and applied 100mhz to let it pass, I didn't do any kind of OC scan or anything.

Basically this card has good vram which scales up till +1.2ghz (I haven't even tried more yet so maybe it can go higher) and it keeps clocks at 2ghz if you apply the 450w limit, so there's no kind of effort on the OC. I find it a bit frustrating to really push it because crashes tend to upset me :ROFLMAO: And I feel bad to run 100% fan profile for some reason, it irks me a bit.

Nice, I also have the Palit 3080 Ti Gamerock OC, can you please show me how you flashed the BIOS to MSI Supreme X, does it increase the power limit to 450w? would be nice to squeeze out a little extra. Thanks

No the Suprim X is also a 440wat max power limit.

When you open GPUz it will show what memory chips you have. Mine unfortunately is Micron and I know Samsung is better.

My 3080 Ti GameRock OC has a power limit of 400w, so 440w is a welcome upgrade, is there a guide link or something? Thanks

Mine should be micron too, I think only micron does gddr6x, but will confirm tonight. Samsung does do GDDR6 though so some 3070 should have them

The GameRock OC has a 440Wat max power limit, you can increase the slider in MSI Afterburner to 110% for the 440Watt, however, the card does not seem to use the added power from what I have seen.

My RTX 3080 also with GDDR6X had Samsung memory so you do get GDDR6X in Samsung.

All the sites I checked, even Palit's site says 400w, Techpowerup BIOS uploads also has it at 400, the 110% slider does nothing. Used GPUz to check it's always just above or just below 400W. Nowhere near 440/450W with mine unfortuantely.

Generally it seems like 450w is the upper limit for a Ti, so I'm lucky that the master can push it. I would've expected only the xtreme to hit 450w.

Maybe I should disable the lcd screen and the rgb and see if it can push 460w :ROFLMAO: That lcd screen is a complete waste honestly.

The most ridiculous power limit of course is the Palit gaming pro which seems to be 365w. That's like limiting the product right out of the gate because even stock these things go for 400w

My vram is also micron. I also checked my max core so this is the max result using the normal method on afterburner.

With variance I can probably hit 21700 but honestly this is pretty satisfying for a Ti so I'm just going to leave it at that :)

Best in the world with Media PC's RX 470 + I7 4790 (Stock) combo and 39 Overall with any CPU (Timespy Extreme), not bad for R1500 bucks (which was the going rate before all the kak). Also, world number 92 vs RX570 based on only GPU score. This little beast beats out a stock 580 easily, very impressed.

I know it's old just fun playing around.

Hi @baasgene slight update using the Galax 1000watt bios.... This card is power hungry, pulling around 590watt but at least my average clock speeds is a little closer to fastest clock speed stated by 3dmark.

My Port Royal not matching yours but at least I am not stuck at 14100

What almost 600w? Gee wiz thats a lot of juice hahaha

Yes, I won't keep using this bios only for benching. But it pulls like 170+ watt for each pcie power connector ( which it can do as it is like only 14 to 16 amps) but pcie lane only 67 watt.

Updated scores:

Port Royal got a very nice bump in score

Is that the HOF or just the hof 1000w bios?
