Hi all,

Just wanted to know if I am missing something here.
Setup:
5900X
Be Quiet Dark Rock 4

RAM:
CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB PRO 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3600 (PC4-28800) C18 Desktop memory (XMP Profile only done)
Motherboard:
MSI X570 Tomohawk Wifi
PSU:
Corsair RM850 80+ Gold

I have read around (very new to Overclocking, and have very little idea of what I am doing, @JollyJamma seems to jump in and help me often :D.
Reading around, the common aspect is undervolt and slight OC on the boost with PBO and CO.

Currently,
If i do a -10 offset on all cores, I get instability with crashes while my system is in idle, but the temps are really solid at this point.

The Event viewer:
WHEA logger - APIC 24, 25 and APIC 26, 27.
From what i have read this refers to core 10 and 11.

Dial those back to 0 and i get complete stability but the results are no where near as good.

MAX CPU boost at the moment: is on 50Mhz i think.

When running CineR23 My temps max out at 84.
At idle it crashes.

These are the only settings I have adjusted at the moment, anything else I am missing?

Thanks!

What mode is your voltage set too? Offset/manual/auto and what is it set too?
Have you opened up the power limits for the motherboard? PPT/TDC/EDC-for my ASUS its under the PBO tab

Voltage, i think is auto.

Power limits under PBO is also on auto, I did try disabled so it ran at default and didn't help too much.

Well then -10 should be fine.. i would try an offset voltage of -0.05 and see how that helps if nothing then try -0.1..
also disabled basically defaults to auto- set it to motherboard :) let us know

Thanks for the help!

So far seems to be running better!
Getting boosts of 4.8-5.0 :)

Idle Temp: 43
Max temp: 81

CineR23 - 21517.

I could probably tweak more, but I think I am happy at this point :D

Awesome bud glad you are happy.. honestly you can play around a bit if you want.. after -0.1v offset you might start to see a loss in performance, but finding the sweet-spot i found to be key. Brining the voltage down as much as i can, reducing the heating allowing the cpu to turbo higher honestly made a big difference for me

Happy OC'ing :)

Thanks very much!

Really appreciate the help! will likely keep tinkering with it at a later stage, been having some fun getting to learn this :D
