I really do like this one, not too chuffed about the resin cases though. I had to heat this one up a bit to straighten it as it had warped a bit.
I also wont easily be buying any OEM profile keycaps anymore, DSA is just SO MUCH BETTER (last chalk coloured board I did)

I also dressed this one up in a bit, just wanted to see the colours on this black resin case.
Dont hate, I will throw these caps in the trash haha

What am I buying next? Keycult?

As someone who has never really soldered... how hard does this look to someone with more experience? I am considering replacing some of the burned-out RGB LEDs (only blue is dead, strangely) on my Logitech keyboard.

Apparently you can order some SMD 0402 RGB LED's (1010) from ebay or Aliexpress (still need to find the exact same listing).

You can perhaps try RS Components as well for the leds.

I want to try and replace a few leds on my K95 as well. I think I found the correct leds at RS Components. Rs components

I'm not to sure how difficult the replacement would be though

Make sure you buy flux! It's going to make it a lot better. That and a temperature controlled soldering iron

Hey man, I don't live far away and I can help you out if you'd like. Might be worth checking robotics.org.za, they're right out in Technopark

Thanks, @Cujo26 ! Will remember when the time comes. Might also have another friend willing to help, who has soldered his own switches before, so at least he knows more than me.

I ordered the LED's from eBay (seller on Aliexpress does not accept PayPal), who knows how long they will take to arrive. Even if I end up destroying the board, I am going to take the chance to fix it. Looking at the board right now, I would need to replace 5 LED's. Luckily, I ordered 50 LED's.

And thanks @Razia , I will now google "what is flux".

If it helps, I have experience soldering SMD diodes on my sofle :)

Super excited to finish my atreus build, been itching to pick up a soldering iron...

Time to FINALLY sort out some stabs as well.

Also, thoughts on desoldering a perfectly good Ducky to install some lubed Gat Yellows?

I see exactly zero reason not to

What are you using there to lube your stabs? I need to sort out my rattle-ly stabs too :<

I knew I could come here for support! :D

The browns have been bothering me in that board for quite a while now, it is time.

Listen if you have browns in a board it's a class A emergency to get rid of the bloody things

I use Krytox on the stab housing and dielectric grease on the wires and to plug the butt

But.... I just ordered a new keyboard with browns, because I love them tactile feeeels!

Too all those waiting so patiently for me to actually announce and release stuff, my humble apologies. I was setting up a FaceBook store so that buying items would be easier. I had loaded all the products and made it look super pretty, was just waiting for final approval from Facebook, and then they declined it!! Absolutely no idea why, but I decided their and then that running a store on Facebook was gonna be more trouble than its worth!!

Alas, I had initially started building an e-commerce site on Shopify, and I'm now back to setting that up. It should be finished this week, just a lot of admin to get everything redone, but I promise it will be worth it!!

I cannot wait to show you guys what we've been up to 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

My apologies for the delay.
BTW 🖕🏻to Facebook

Dude
So much work was put into making the shop awesome, and after all that they just send me a generic "sorry, your store does not meet our commercial requirements", with no reason why. At that point I decided that if this was how it was gonna start, then it's not gonna get any better.

Shopify is way better anyway, it seems it might have been a blessing in disguise!!

Trusty Krytox for the housings, and then the pictured dielectric (silicone) grease from RS Components.

R150 and a mother of a tube. You could use it for the housing as well if you wanted to.

Well, browns is like the shitty weed your neighbour's kid has on hand. It gets the job done, and gives you the idea of what it could be. Then something like holy pandas or box navy's are the finest heroin you can find.

Hah, I think I understand, but what's a set of holy pandas going for... R2000? Eeesh, wife would kill me.

Also part of the reason why I have decided to start making more money. I want to be able to afford expensive cool things. Like a house. And a nice keyboard with nice switches. Hah!
