AMD Ryzen 3 3300X and Ryzen 3 3100: New Low Cost Quad-Core Zen 2 Processors From $99

I saw this just now, looks like a beautiful CPU. very keen to see how it performs

Looks very solid at the price point, and hopefully there is multiple mini itx boards for sale on Carbonite! 🤣

A 1600AF would be a better buy and is cheaper so not sure about these . 6 Cores /12 threads and clocks much the same. All reach 4.10 -4.20 Ghz no problem . So you lose a bit of IPC performance but frequencies will be much the same with a simple overclock.
So how these are a better buy than a $85 dollar 1600AF is questionable. Things like PCIe 4.0 at this price point is kind of irrelevant.

Excellent point, but more supply on the low end market only helps drive down cost.

I'm hoping next gen we get something like r5 4600x with single 8 core ccx with something like 3.8GHz base/ 4.7Ghz boost 65w TDP, what a monster that will be in everything the average user needs.

But by the time it reaches this side it would be closer to $200
