Wait wut... No google apps on the new Huawei Mate?

Huawei is being brought to its knees. If this is indeed true, they will close shop pretty soon....

lol no maps?

Somebody is going to get lost erry'day

I hate Android anyway so I don't care LOL.

iPhone all the way.

I was looking forward to the new Mate. Now not so much anymore.

The Note 10 is crap, uses the same photo sensor as the S7 , so the only phone worth looking at is then maybe the new iphone 11.
How convenient to kill them of when they bring out a flagship phone next to US apple.

Note 10 + camera is like I said before junk for a 23k phone but alas most people know better :)

Which is why I bought the P30 Pro the other day. Nothing else really interested me. I just need HTC to launch another flagship now...

Also came from Samsung and went with the P30 Pro. Just hope they keep google support.

So what Google Apps are the absolute deal breakers for you? I reckon most can be replaced with another app without much worry or inconvenience. Have at it, where those lists at?

Don't know why anyone would use maps. Waze is the only GPS you need.

I tend to rely on Waze. I know my way to work well enough to just use it if my commute is at a different time. As of late, waze has been throwing me into the WORST streets opposed to the better suggestion google maps made when I decided I'm checking its recommendation too...

I am sure you will be able to find a way to side-load gapps (it is in Huawei's interest to somehow 'leak' something themselves). Hopefully it will impact sales enough to drive down prices...

Google Maps and the Play Store, period.
I'm going to need more than that moony... What on the PlayStore? The ability to check out silly games and apps often to download and then delete or just ignore (unless you actually invest a lot of time in using your device to play mobile games etc?)

Ever since being bought by Google, Waze's routing has quite obviously been gimped - I'm pretty sure they are trying to drive users back to maps.

It's never given me issues. I always fire up Waze to check traffic and ETA's before I go somewhere. With my condition the last few months I try avoid spending any more time on the road than absolutely necessary.

Waze was brought out to dodge the police nothing special about it any fucking mapping app can do that once tweaked.

The fact is google maps accuracy and ease of use is which made life easy for most users but yes huawei have strategies in place time shall be the teller

But, the Play Store is, in itself, a Google app :p Third-party apps that I need would be Nedbank Money, Discovery, Uber/Eats and Spotify.

P.S. I don't play games on my phone.

I nose... but Huawei's app store can fill the gap and the AppGallery is there hey... Discovery andUber Eats were easy enough to find on there. I trust the banks will redeploy a version of their apps there soon enough. I know Standard Bank, Virgin Money Spot and 22Seven is on there already. Spotify will follow soon enough too, huawei has a large enough market presence. Else just grab the damn apk and sideload it. They said it's not to launch with the apps on it, not that it can't be installed via sideload?

If you want a phone with next level camera then Xiaomi is going to soon release a flagship model with a 108mp quad camera..... Probably the MI Mix 4 according to rumors
